To widespread neglect, the discoverer of the 20th-century IQ-test-score-rise, jaunty ethnic-Eirish Prof. Jim Flynn blamed Blecks' across-the-board socio-economic failures on the only interesting thing about them, their youth culture of sex, violence, misogyny and disrespec' (New Scientist, 3 ix) - Jim little thinking to ask whether this US/UK Black culture was not simply an understandable reaction to growing up stupid yet patronized in a successful White society (by contrast, African Blacks just join armies and rape and pillage with impunity, having no need to spend their time merely rappin' about such possibilities).


RACE REALISTS RE-SURFACE

After two months of media suppression, anti-PeeCee heroes Simon Sheppard and Stephen Whittle (seeking asylum in the USA after being found guilty of `race hate speech,' esp. anti-Semitism, and going on the run to Los Angeles - see July) resurfaced, submitting an Appeal to Leeds Crown Court (Selby Times [the newspaper for Sheppard's home town in Yorkshire], 18 ix).

An account of the case and of the shockingly tyrannical state of English law re race hate speech, together with addresses to which financial contributions for The Heretical Two could be sent, was provided at http://hereticaltwo.nfshost.com/. The Sheppard website at www.heretical.com consisted of 750 pages and over 2 million words, being a collection of articles and excerpts covering a wide range of topics. Just twelve web pages had been the subject of criminal charges.


OLD COMMIE GOES TO EARTH re RACE

As weeks went by without glitterati Cambridge intellectual George Steiner clarifying his off-the-cuff race realism and thus improving on the cowardice of Nobelist James Watson (see above for both oldies), a nice reminder of Steiner's former Soviet sympathies appeared (National Review, 29 ix), perhaps explaining his embarrassment:

"Reviewing The Gulag Archipelago in The New Yorker in 1974, George Steiner wrote that "to infer that the Soviet terror is as hideous as Hitlerism is not only a brutal oversimplification but a moral indecency," revealing with those words the vast blind spot of Western Left intellectuals.

Despite Solzhenitsyn, that blind spot continues. As [Tim] Tzouliadis notes [The Forsaken], it has enabled the story of what happened to the Americans who sought work in Soviet Russia to disappear down the memory hole. And since so many continue to believe that the Soviet repression was hardly comparable to that of the Nazis, many will deny that in the Soviet Union, as the author concludes, its defining story "was the murder of millions of innocent citizens by the state."

Asked by a supporter to report on the current state of the Pioneer Foundation, I was shocked to discover no mention of The g Factor at the PF website and wrote as follows:

Authoress and single mum (as was) J.K.Rowling's loopy donation of œ1M (of her œ600M fortune) to Labour, because of that party's devotion to single-parent families, was promptly and properly ridiculed in the Sun by Fergus Shanahan (23 ix) - though FS should have mentioned that single-parenting works O.K. in the (increasingly rare) case where the mother and baby are of high IQ.

A fine case for educational streaming (including practical education and apprenticeships for dumbos) was made in The Cornell Daily Sun by Katie Engelhart (18 ix). I replied encouragingly, referring Katie to Chapter 4 of TgF (published 24 ix).


DEMOCRATS STOKE U.S. RACE WAR AS BANKS CRASH FROM POLITICIAN-DEMANDED UNSECURED LENDING TO MINORITIES AS PART OF FORCED MULTICULTURALISM

As politicians in Washington wrestled to prevent meltdown of America's banks, while avoiding blaming the politicians who had caused bankers to over-lend to `sub-prime' Blacks, Hispanics and Mexican illegals* and thus over-stimulated house prices, an astonishingly inflammatory attack on the U.S. Republicans' vice-presidential nominee was reported by CNN (25 ix):

"Rep. Alcee Hastings told an audience of Jewish Democrats that they should be wary of Republican VP nominee Sarah Palin because "anybody toting guns and stripping moose don't care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks." "If Sarah Palin isn't enough of a reason for you to get over whatever your problem is with Barack Obama, then you damn well had better pay attention," Rep. Alcee Hastings of Florida said at a panel about the shared agenda of Jewish and African-American Democrats."

{That such far-out sentiments should surface was not surprising to those who knew that both `community organizer' Osambo and `feminist' Hitlery, the leaders of the 2008 Democrats, both drew their inspiration from Chicago Jewish left-loon agitator Saul Alinsky (1909-71) (American Thinker, 26 ix).}

Moneylenders still have no access to a verification system to check Social Security numbers before approving loans."

An AmRen correspondent wrote: "This financial meltdown had its origins in a push to give home loans to people who had no down payments, bad credit, and an inability or unwillingness to pay. Considerable effort has been expended by many experts laying out the precise chronology of just how this debacle escalated, and you've got to understand that without the pressure applied by Clinton and others, including Reno, Barney Frank, Andrew Cuomo, et al, there would be no sub-prime mortgages to package and sell as investments. Only the leftist radicals are denying this, but they too will shut up once the diversity scheme has been exposed further."

Another AmRen correspondent said: "Among national-profile politicians, Jack Kemp (R) and Barney Frank (D) have been the biggest villains in all this. Each for a good two decades or more, they relentlessly pushed programs to promote "affordable" housing - that is, homes carrying low-money-down financing designed to make homeowners out of people with limited or poor credit. Guess what? Blacks and Hispanics are disproportionately represented among these homebuyers."

Unsurprisingly, the Jewish Frank, Congressman for Boston, was foremost amongst those arguing for total nationalization of the US banks, with no penalties for wankers who had so enthusiastically gone along with peecee-multiculturalist stipulations to lend to `sub-primes.' (The near-sighted Kemp had grown up in the 95% Jewish community of West Los Angeles and had many Jewish sympathies - though his parents had sent him to the Church of Christ Scientist.)

Another AmRen correspondent asked: "If the government takes on all the bad loans; will it then handle them in the affirmative action manner? Minority loans will be forgiven, but whites will pay the full amount at a greatly increased interest rate to make up the difference. White people that pay their bills will be told to pay more in fees, interest and taxes or what??? These may be dumb questions; but based on government actions over the last 50 years; I cannot help but wonder."

Another: "The Clintonistas were the the source, but it was clearly unqualified individual minorities who were the willing recipients. No one forced them to sign on the dotted line. No one forced them to commit to a mortgage. They viewed mortgage loans as just one more type of entitlement and in a very real sense there were entitlements. Which brings me to [the] question of who will pay for these entitlements. [Certainly], it is overwhelmingly whites who will pay and they will pay in many different forms. They will pay by being hit with even higher state and federal taxes. They will pay by seeing their tax deferred savings accounts, mostly in the form of various mutual funds, loose value as the stocks that they represent take a dive, and they will also pay because the economic downturn which the sub-prime mortgage debacle is causing and will worsen will decrease their standard of living and possibly leave them unemployed with no savings but a social security check made out in nearly worthless dollars. Yet one more example of just how much of a wonderful thing our state sponsored "diversity" really is!"

In setting out the steps from 'toxic mortgages' to the likely part-nationalization of U.S. banking (Daily Telegraph, 27th September, pp.4-5) you arguably omitted one step. 'The first black President of the U.S.A.," as Bill Clinton called himself, had regulated tough penalties for banks that failed to provide 'affordable homes' for minorities;* President George W. Bush continued this encouragement of 'sub-prime mortgages' and even extended such help for people with no incomes, jobs or assets ('NINJAS') to Mexican illegal immigrants.** It was this which yielded the steady inflation of house prices on which both financiers and mortgagees came to gamble; but the sorry circumstances and lifestyles of the new lenders meant that many had to sell. The 2007/8 slump in the housing market was simply the eventual correction for the enforcement of multicultural optimism by politicians.

The pathetic childish Dumobrats and their welfare stupidities are always the cause of economic rot...Stealing from people who earn and handing to those who didn't is a criminal act which makes the Dumobrats a mafia gang...albeit a stupid one."

TORY OUTSQUEAKER

A Conservative shadow minister spoke out a fraction on immigration: multiculturalism in the UK had left a "terrible" legacy, creating a vacuum that has been filled by extremists from across the political spectrum, the shadow home secretary, Dominic Grieve, warned. In an interview with the Guardian (27 ix) on the eve of the Conservative party conference, Grieve said that "long-term inhabitants" had been left fearful, while second- and third- generation immigrants felt alienated and unsure what British values were.

BNP BELLE

Britain’s ‘Next Top Model’ of 2008 (selected by TV, the Independent etc.), lovely lissome Lauren McAvoy, a 21-year-old Essex girl and a lover of pole dancing, sky diving and “water sports,” turned out to be a “big fan” of the British National Party (‘a bit of far right,’ double-entendred the Sun, 20 ix).




BRITAIN POLICED BY ILLEGALS

Showing how London authorities had become infested by slave labour (like Ancient Rome), no less than 48 – a half – of Lambeth’s traffic wardens were found (by a new contractor) to be illegal immigrants and were thus (in the unaccustomed glare of publicity) sacked. At the same time the mighty Metropolitan Police Association of Sambos gloriously decided to withdraw all co-operation (except for receiving salaries) from its employer as another of its high heidjuns was suspended on charges of corruption (charges inevitably contested as ‘racist’) (Daily Telegraph, 20 ix).


IN DESPARANDUM, ENVIRONMENTALISM

Showing a touching faith in his peecee religion, sub-Prime Minister Grumpy Stalinist Gordon Brown met the challenge of the ‘credit crunch’ and Stock Market plunge (due to over-lending to Blecks and kindred*) and his own mere 16% approval rating in opinion polls by proposing, yes, free state indoctrination (a.k.a. nursery nursing) for two-year-olds – taking such infants from their mothers for 15 hours per week at a national cost of 1 billion pounds annually (BBC Radio 4, 21 ix; Sunday Telegraph, 21 ix, main front-page headline story).

* Investor’s Business Daily, 15 ix: “…. it was the Clinton administration, obsessed with multiculturalism, that dictated where mortgage lenders could lend, and originally helped create the market for the high-risk subprime loans now infecting like a retrovirus the balance sheets of many of Wall Street’s most revered institutions. As the popular broadcaster, vicar’s wife Anne Atkins, scorned officials in Norfolk for felling chestnut trees in case the conkers fell on people’s heads, “as if that would make a difference in Norfolk,” the BBC said complaints about her ‘racism’ “poured in” (Sunday Telegraph, 21 ix). But there was probably a little truth in her quip, for Richard Lynn’s work of the 1970’s (Brit.J.soc.&clin.Psychol.) had shown IQ in the modern British Isles to be lower in areas further away from London (mean IQ 102) and similar work for the Irish banks in Eire similarly showed would-be recruits to be duller according to how far from Dublin they originated.

RACE WAR FORECAST

As Republican Presidential hopefuls George `Gramps' McCain and Sarah `Pitbull' Palin surged to a 10% U.S. poll lead among `likely voters', it turned out that race war had been forecast, if the G.O.P. won, by Philadelphia Daily News columnist Fatimah Ali (2 ix).

The English Home Office agreed, predicting an upsurge in racism if there was any deepening of the 2008 economic recession (itself caused by over-optimistic lending to Blacks and other `sub-prime' mortgagees* (Times, 1 ix); and even the race-sniffy Speccie recounted the scale of the immigration problem and reckoning that the 2008- recession could well test British tolerance (11 ix).

In the USA, the Wall Street Journal reported a mixture of "nervousness" and "anger" among Blacks at the prospect of Obama losing - and AmRen correspondents inclined to agree that Blacks would riot (unless confined to barracks by snow and ice). {I, too, had predicted racial strife if the West's economy took a serious downturn - The g Factor, 1996, p. 136 - saying Western liberalism and welfare-state values had made themselves dependent on the success of capitalism.}

PEECEE PCs HOIST BY OWN PETARD

Adding to national hilarity at self-chosen peecee witch-hunters being themselves accused of witchcraft, a top Mueslie with the Metropolitan Police,* an alleged expert on race relations, forced marriages and honour killings, earning 60K pounds p.a., announced she would sue the Force and its tragicomic peecee paragon Commissioner Sir Ian Blair for `racial bullying' against her - thereby joining Ugandan-born Indian top cop Tarique Ghaffur (see August) in seeking a racial payout before the fall of Britain's despised Labour Government brought PeeCee to an end.

The new complainer, 50-looking `Ms' Yasmin Rehman, `Head of Community Partnerships and Diversity,' had been on sick leave for a year prior to launching her lawsuit. {You couldn't make it up!} The thousands-strong Metropolitan Black Police Association, which was backing Ms Rehman, announced it would urge its members to mount street protests (Daily Telegraph, 12 ix). The Daily Telegraph's Simon Heffer saw the irony (13 ix): "It is most interesting of all that such a zealot of anti-racism as the hapless Sir Ian should be accused of being the biggest racist of all."

PAEDOHYSTERICAL NULABOUR NAZISM EXPOSED

"Local authorities around the country are setting up databases to hold records of accusations made about anyone from teachers and doctors to Scout leaders and private tutors. They are employing staff just to look into the claims -- which can be made anonymously -- who are required to contact police, social services or the adult's employer and then keep track of the case. Details of the allegation will be kept on the accused's personnel file until they retire so they can be seen by potential employers, and in a reversal of the basic tenet of English law they will only be deemed innocent if they can prove it.

The system was introduced in the wake of the Soham murders to make sure authorities keep track of anyone suspected of child abuse. But critics claim it gives too much power to unaccountable council officers, creates extra red tape for bosses and will lead to innocent professionals having their careers blighted by malicious allegations. They also warn it will drive people -- particularly men -- out of working with children for fear of being labelled a paedophile. Already just 2 per cent of teachers of the youngest primary school pupils are male.

It comes on top of the new vetting system being implemented for everyone who works with under-16s, the Independent Safeguarding Authority, which will lead to 11.3 million adults having their backgrounds checked. Professor Frank Furedi, a sociologist at the University of Kent, said: "Those who are accused may become the lifetime victims of these allegations. It then creates an incentive to make those sorts of accusations by people who know it can affect someone's career. This will play into the hands of those who believe there is no smoke without fire."" - Daily Telegraph, 10 ix.


CAMBRIDGE CONDEMNS LABOUR'S COMPREHENSIVE C*CK-UP

The Principal of Cambridge University (though a lezzie-looking old bag) managed to squeak out a few words of reservation about Labour endlessly trying to send its comprehensive-school failures for re-education in the Fens (Daily Express, 11 ix, Leo McKinstry, `Marxist dogma that stops bright kids going to top colleges'). The Daily Telegraph's Simon Heffer concurred (13 ix): "Admitting people [to Cambridge] on a quota system based on social class can only drag down Cambridge students' standards, driving quality elsewhere and ultimately harming the future of the whole country."


CLASS WAR COMEBACK

As NuLabour faced meltdown, Deputy Leader Harriet Harman thrilled to the beat of ancient drums by insisting that low-SES children were doomed by their social class - little acknowledging it was people like her (a relative of the Earls of Longford, educated at nobby St Paul's Girls' School, and being sure to send her own to children to grammar schools) who had worked tirelessly to abolish the grammar schools that had once given a chance to bright kids of low SES and to avoid providing the practical education that had been urged as long as 60 years ago by Sir Cyril Burt as likely to give realistic chances to duller kids of low SES.


IQ GETS INTO SPECCIE

IQ was given a rare mention in the Spectator (12 ix) as columnist Rod Liddle had a laugh at the `halfwitted' and `imbecilic' Muesli would-be terrorists who so often fail - at least in Britain - on their missions from Allah (they forget the matches to ignite their shoes, they cannot get parked etc.). (Of course Liddle did not risk upsetting anyone by actually mentioning the average IQ of 90 standardly obtaining in Muslim countries.)

A new Economic History of the World (by Gregory Clark, reviewed in Policy, Winter 2008) showed the usual derisory neglect of IQ; but at least it deplored the humanitarian interventions that had multiplied the size of the poverty problem in Africa in the late-twentieth century, and it properly credited English parsons and squires (set up by the Tudors and established by the 1688 settlement) with the high rate of breeding (whether of legitimate children or bastards) which, in its quality as well as quantity, was enough to trickle down in the population and trigger the improvement in self-restraint and application that triggered England's famous Industrial Revolution.

MULTICULTI MAYHEM

Paris prosecutors struggled to deny that serious September gang violence between tower-block youf of the 19th arrondissement (north-east Paris) had gone largely along the lines of `beurs' (North African Blacks) versus yamulka-wearing `fiujs' (backward juifs, i.e. Jews) (YnetNews, 17 ix; Guardian, 18 ix).

`RACISM IN ALL OF US' - TOP CAMBRIDGE DON

Phoned by the Daily Telegraph's young Jessica Salter and asked whether the revered Jewish academic and novelist George Steiner, 79, had the right to suggest (in an interview for Spain's El Pais, reported 30 viii by the Torygraph's `Mandrake') that `racism' was everywhere alive and kicking and that racial tolerance was only skin deep, I managed a mock explosion at the very idea that Britain's senior intellectual might not have the right to speak his mind about anything he chose; then I moved on to a mini-diatribe on the low rate of Black intermarriage with other racial groups in the USA and explained to Jessica the general phenomenon of White flight from cities like Detroit and, today, London; and I topped this off with my personal experience that few ordinary Edinburghians had taken exception to my views.

Asked how E.LU. had treated me for outspeaking about race, I replied, "Like shit," referring to the lack of consultation with me despite my 26 years' service, but explained that E.LU. shared its cowardice in the face of the Anti-Nazi League and kindred leftists with most other Britiish universities and the media - Jessica had attended the LUniversity of Leeds, so was familiar with the Frank Ellis affair.

"You won't have much freedom without men of courage," I opined, quoting Pericles; but the great & good of E.LU., faced with peecee fervour and a possible drop in cashflow, had behaved like "hypnotized rabbits." Jessica seemed content with this firework display and went off keenly clutching my suggestion that she contact British free speech expert Professor Eric Barendt (University College London) who had lately shown a commendable and sustained interest in my case (bringing out as it had the lack of university protection.for free speech by academics in Britain).

Jessica's interest duly yielded a summary of the reaction of seven UK `academics' to Emeritus Churchill College Fellow Steiner's remarks (D.Torygraph, 1 ix, p.9, `Academic: I don't want Jamaican neighbours'*) - at least having me as the luminary Steiner's leading supporter (though Professor Barendt also issued his own judicious approval), and annoying E.LU. by linking its sacking of me not to E.LU.'s red herring of `paedophilia' but to the robust `scientific racism' of The g Factor.

Jessica's effort generated the desired `controversy' (incl. plenty of support for George Steiner) here. One contribution, apparently from BNP leader Nick Griffin, was:

How refreshing to have a member of the intellectual elite with the courage to tell the truth, rather than bowing to the pressure to express belief in absurd lies, which is at the very heart of the applied social Marxism known as Political Correctness. Well done, Prof Steiner, for defying the all-pervasive tyranny of PC. One man at least stands up on an ivory tower and sees and tells the truth.

The Daily Mail (1 ix) repeated the Telegraph story, but without mention of any academics backing Steiner (who had offered his quips about reggae-loving Jamaican neighbours lowering the price of one's property from his substantial home in leafy Trumpington, outside Cambridge). Steiner's race realism was broadcast in Caribbean News (31 viii), which claimed Steiner had been condemned by "Muslim groups."

To a Luxembourg supporter who inquired what I had really told the Torygraph, I replied:

I told Jessica all Whites (and Asians and Latinos) avoid Blacks like the plague in the USA, and pointed to Black-`run' Detroit and Zimbabwe as to what the future held; I said that E.LU. was staffed by cowards, not the men of courage that Pericles had held the cause of freedom to require etc.

Still, at least I got published as saying "There's no academic freedom left in this country, as my own case showed." And E.LU. will have been p****d off with my sacking being attributed to the scientific racism of The g Factor rather than to paedophilia. To cognoscenti, these are breakthroughs -- and in a Londinian rather than a merely Clottish paper....

Since no news of or reply to the Telegraph's article appeared at Cambridge University's website, I wrote to them as follows:

I wonder if Professor George Steiner will be issuing a considered reply to the hostile reporting of his 'racism' in the Daily Telegraph (Monday, 1 ix 2008, p. 9). I will gladly offer any help I can. Sincerely, -- Chris Brand (Edinburgh, psychologist, author of The g Factor, tel.: [given]).

Professor Steiner's reservations about Jamaican neighbours eventually aired on RadioJamaica, 2 ix.

For the Guardian (3 ix), quadroon-looking Lindsay Johns considered the case of the great literatteur and humanist and graciously let Steiner off as being `old-fashioned' rather than "a visceral, evil-hearted racist"; but since the chief evidence for Steiner's fundamental peecee piety and ignoracism was his association with Harvard's `Afro-American Studies' guru Henry Louis Gates, it had to be asked how long that friendship would last once news of Steiner's aversion to noisy Blacks got across the Pond.

Priyamvada Gopal, a female tutor at Steiner's own college, Churchill, while fairly obviously deploring Steiner's succouring of racists, concentrated on complaining of the shallowness of such media-fanned `race rows' (Guardian, 5 ix, `Maverick dons inspire only those who hate, not think') - though whether she had ever joined in the race debate that I began at Gonville & Caius College in Cambridge in 1997, or in any other serious discussion of race and IQ, was unclear.

A quite sensible correspondence followed (including the amusing claim that the left standardly says the embarrassingly homophobic culture of Jamaica occurs because slavery resulted in slave owners sodomizing those they oppressed, leading to an inherent hatred of gays), but without any mention of the scholarly offerings of Phil Rushton, Richard Lynn or myself.

Steiner's race realism also got a largely positive reception from some thirty correspondents at AmRen (1 ix). By contrast, blogging literature-lover Shirley Dent was genuinely shocked at the great humanitarian Steiner `falling back on biology' (Grauniad, 5 ix); but she was given the apt reply that someone who had lost all his Jewish schoolfriends in the concentration camps might be rather worth listening to on the subjects of race and racism.

The Voice [of East London Jamaicans] deplored Steiner's `racism' and reported "anger in the black community" while asserting that "many of his fellow scholars" had backed him (7 ix).

RAPE AND RACE REALISM

Brave Oscar-winning actress and busty beauty Helen Mirren, 63, shocked femininies by declaring that `date rapists' (who only raped girls who had already agreed to be encloistered and undressed) should not be the subject of criminal charges (Mail on Sunday, 1 ix). She said she had been locked in and date-raped several times in her youth.

A smidgeon of support for both Steiner and Mirren appeared in the Indie (2 ix, Terence Blacker). And in the Daily Mail (2 ix), renowned war correspondent Max Hastings backed Steiner, recounted affectingly how his cleaning lady had had to emigrate to Australia to get away from noisy Jamaicans and chided multiculturalists for their "make-believe idealism," concluding: George Steiner has stated simple truths, and only the idiot Left could deny their reality.


COWARDLY MEDIA EXPOSED

After the mainstream media of the UK and USA had failed for six weeks to carry the news of the appeal for political asylum in the USA by the good-humoured anti-Semitic race realists and convicted `hate-speakers' Simon Sheppard and Stephen Whittle (see above), the pair's confinement in Los Angeles was summarized by the enthusiastic Southern Poverty Law Centre (Fall 2008).


"LABOUR NAZIS" SLAMMED

In a healthy new development -- since the Nazis were by then just about the only group that could be criticized or lampooned without bringing down accusations of `racism' -- the Sun began referring to local authority enforcers of regulations about parking, rubbish collection and littering (a Brit could be fined 2,500 pounds just for dropping a crisp) as LABOUR NAZIS - who didn't even wear smart uniforms, relying instead on plastic badges issued to these neosocialist jobsworths by councils (2 ix).

Genes were reported by medical scientists in Finland and Hawaii for (separately) both long life and divorce (Daily Telegraph, 2 ix).


BLACK LEADER DEPARTS FOR DUNGEONS

While America's mainstream media declined to discuss the possibility that Boring Hussein Obambi's leadership might lead the USA to the fate of Black-led South Africa, Somalia, the Congo or even Zimbabwe, the (Black) mayor of Detroit exemplified the problems I had touched on with Jessica Salter (above) by pleading guilty to eight felonies, perjury and obstruction of justice and going directly to jail (Christian Science Monitor, 5 ix). The crimes were committed over a six-year period as `Motown's hip-hop mayor', Kwame Kilpatrick (built like a gorilla), strove to cover up a raucous party at Detroit-owned Manoogian Mansion after which his wife caught him in flagrante delicto with Tamara Greene, a 27-year-old hired `exotic dancer' (who was immediately attacked by Kilpatrick's wife Carlita and subsequently murdered) (Guardian, 6 ix).


`MARXIST' ACADEMICS LASHED

Long in the grip neo-Marxist PeeCee* and `deconstructionism', Britain's universities found themselves condemned for bureaucracy, falling standards and Marxism by the UK's top academic expert on Muesli terror, Professor Anthony Glees, as he packed his bags at Brunel University and headed off to the private-sector University of Buckingham (Times Higher, 4 ix).

* A fine analysis of how Marxism transmogrified, 1917-1997, into the equally single-minded and tyrannous Political Correctness was on offer on the internet from American military expert and palaeoconservative pundit Bill Lind (William S. Lind). The once `scientific' LUniversity of Cambridge was a remarkably sad case, having voted 97-1 against race realism in the 1990's at the same time as giving an honorary degree reality-defying Frog wordsmith Jacques Derrida.

The only remaining skill of Britain's luniversities was in conning tens of thousands of pounds out of left-bamboozled illiterate `students' for `degrees' which subsequently proved worthless. The mentality-denying neosocialist bureaucratization of British life was nicely illustrated by a top London anaesthetist resigning his position to become a hairdresser - just as, two or three years ago, a Birmingham LU. physicist had resigned to retrain as a plumber.

Appalled by the ongoing educational failure of Black kids in Britain's unstreamed `schools' (where children were largely `taught' without regard to ability - contrary to the 1996 proposals of The g Factor -- so remained untaught), Black left-wing education guru Lee Jaspers (adviser to London's recently voted-out anti-Western left-loon Mayor Ken Livingslime) demanded Black-only schools where kids would be lashed ooops taught by gorillas and learn respeck for somet'in' (Classic FM Radio, 7 ix, 12 noon).


CLOSE THE DOOR - NOW THE ELEPHANT'S IN THE PARLOUR!

After forty years of encouraging third-world immigration and damning those who criticized it as `racist,' Britain's traitorous politicians decided to cover their backsides by setting up an all-party House of Commons group on immigration allowing gentle criticism of further immigration (almost all of which would anyhow be from E.U. countries) so long as Pakistanis were allowed to continue to import non-English-speaking spouses, welfare-dependent Blacks were allowed to continue single-parent breeding and to roam the streets unstopped and unsearched, and native Brits had their lips sealed by Labour's `hate speech' legislation (Sun, 8 ix). But even this group (headed by Labour 'maverick' MP Frank Field and Tory MP Nicholas `Fatty' Soames) was accused of `pandering to xenophobia' by the left-wing thinktank the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) after it backed plans for all skilled immigrants from outside the E.U. to be sent home when their work visas expire after four years.

In scenes reminiscent of Paris, African immigrants in Andalucia rioted and injured police and firemen who were trying to extinguish house fires set by the Blacks as revenge on enemies (Guardian, 8 ix).


AFFIRMATIVE ACTION TO STAY BANNED IN COLORADO

An initiative to permit affirmative racism (`positive discrimination') in the state of Colorado failed to be made the subject of a referendum as fewer than the required 8,000 signatures from voters were forthcoming (AmRen, 5 xi).


RACE WAR FORECAST

As Republican Presidential hopefuls George `Gramps' McCain and Sarah `Pitbull' Palin surged to a 10% U.S. poll lead among `likely voters', it turned out that race war had been forecast, if the G.O.P. won, by Philadelphia Daily News columnist Fatimah Ali (2 ix). The English Home Office agreed, predicting an upsurge in racism if there was any deepening of the 2008 economic recession (itself caused by over-optimistic lending to Blacks and other `sub-prime' mortgagees (Times, 1 ix).

A Colorado judge determined that a Mexican of IQ 66 could fry in the electric chair for murder – since he was not seriously mentally retarded by the standards of Mexico (mean IQ 88) – Rocky Mountain News, 23 viii).


‘RACIST’ DENIGRATIONS OF ‘ANTI-RACISTS’ MOUNT

As Ugandan-born Indian top cop Tarique Ghaffur was told without avail to “shut up” by the Met’s No. 2 (peecee-babbling ‘Sir’ Ian Blair being himself on holiday in France), it turned out that many other ethnic cops had decided to imitate the dogged Indian (who had kept a 10-year dossier of ‘racist’ slurs and swindles against him) – doubling the 2008 number of ‘racist’ complaints by staff against the Met as compared to previous years. As the Peking Olympics closed, with the British Commonwealth taking a lion's share of the medals and Eton-educated Boris Johnson, 44, splendidly teasing the Chinese that Britain had provided the home of pingpong (as of most other sports and games).

The supreme incompetence of modern Britain, with its failure to respect IQ and its doomed egalitarian belief in the merits of bureaucratic regulation and training, was put on display as a film of `The Best of Britain' by a firm called `Visit London' carried a modern-artistic image of paedosadist Myra Hindley (filmed when on display at the Royal Academy in 1995, before it was vandalized) was beamed worldwide to an audience of 2 billion people including the hypersensitive hawks of Britain's paedohysterical press

- Boris had swiftly to declare the promotion film axed (Sun, 25 viii; Guardian, 25 viii). In London itself, one of the handover ceremonies for the London 2012 Olympics had to be scrapped because of a Black youth being found at the Walthamstow site in a pool of blood, apparently knifed by fellow Blacks known to him (Sun, 25 viii).

Top British TV interviewer Jeremy Paxman added to the annoyance of Britain's modern idealists, revealing at the Edinburgh Television Festival (Sun, 25 viii): "If any middle-class white male I come across says he wants to enter television, I say give up all hope. They've no chance." {Britain's image took further knocks as the British finale lap of honour in Peiking was a fiasco matched only by the pathetic uncelebrated Heathrow return of the medal-laden champs dismally heaving their bags one by one down the steps from their BA aircraft (while no band played and BA had told fans to stay away for elfin safety reasons)

And celebrity chef Jamie Oliver slammed the country's `poor cuisine' and blamed it on beer-drinking - though Boris brought better cheer by reckoning Brits simply preferred sport to cuisine, e.g. using the Victorian dining table to invent the game of ping-pong (initially called whiff-whaff).}


NEOSOCIALIST SEX SALLY CONDEMNED

Following a letter from ten MPs and two quango bosses calling on the Government "to guarantee appropriate sex and relationship education in every primary and secondary school by putting personal, social and health education on a statutory basis as part of the national curriculum" (Daily Telegraph, 26 viii), I wrote to the Telegraph's Editor as follows:

Dear Sir,

In view of the call for state sex education for five-year-olds (Chris Bryant MP et al., Letters, 26th August), it is clear that Britain's boundlessly statist 'liberal'-left politicians just have not 'got it.' After eleven years of expensive, failed and state-expanding New Labourism, must the churches (and kindred religious and humanitarian bodies) not finally say enough is enough? Rather than tolerate neosocialist expansion into matters of sex, love and the family, it is time to demand -- as I advised Her Majesty's Government in 1966, when a prison psychologist -- that any government monies for these (and other moral purposes) should be channelled via local institutions reflecting people's own philosophical choices.

POLICE TO STEER CLEAR OF MAD BLACK MUESLI

More British loopy `liberal'-left `tough-on-crime' stuff went on display as Magdi Elgizouli, 40, who had killed 25-year-old policewoman Nina Mackay in 1997 and been locked up indefinitely under the Mental Health Act, being said to have a `deranged hatred of the police,' was discovered enjoying four hours a week supervised release from a Southall, London, lunatic asylum to help him `integrate with society' prior to indefinite release. An urgent message was issued under Scotland Yard's `officer alert system' warning police to keep away from the killer.


GEORGIA ON MY MIND

I now reckon Nato made a huge mistake in not encouraging Russia's 1990's application for entry. We could thus have united the White race. Instead we preferred demacracy and hooman rights.... I'm so glad I marched through Edinburgh with the Serbs and Chinese in 1999 -- I thought the West's attack on a longstanding ally, Serbia, was monstrous. Now the birds are coming home to roost - with Russia using race realism to its own advantage by seizing its Ossetian collaborators back from the clutches of newly independent Georgia whereas the West's sympathy for ethnic nationalism had served only to create Muslim and gypsy states freed from the ancient influence of (relatively) civilizing Christian Serbia.

In the past ten days, the wife and I have seen several fantastically moving concerts/operetas by the mighty Ossetian conductor Valery Gergiev -- his mission to the Edinburgh Festival interrupted only by his own impulse to jet back at the weekend to conduct a rousing pro-Russian concert in South Ossetia. In Edinburgh, he and his orchestras (London and Russian) were heard with delight and without protest -- I had one noisy type thrown out by heavy staff before the beginning of one of the performances at E'bugger's Usher Hall.

Even the Guardian blasted Britain's schoolboyish Home Secretary for dashing to the Ukraine to back that divided country's application for Nato membership and to make threats against Russia which he and Britain were in no position to enforce (27 viii, David Hearst: Miliboy "appears not to know what he's talking about").


RELIGION OF PEACE, JUSTICE AND MASOCHISM

A Manchester Muesli fanatic was found guilty by a jury of forcing young teenage boys to flagellate themselves blade-bearing knobkerries till they bled from many minor and some deeper cuts (Guardian, 27 viii).


AGONY UNCLE CHRIS VINDICATED

In line with my advice to Edinburgh LUni students not to mess with their pheromones when engaged in mate-seeking (Student, c. 2004, `Keep your (pubic) hair on!'), scientists discovered that being on the Pill - with its resultant hormonal changes - reduces a girl's chances of finding the ideal partner whom she would rapturously love, viz. one with immune system genes complementary to her own (Daily Telegraph, 13 viii, `The Pill may change women's choice in men').

Dr Craig Roberts, who carried out the work in collaboration with the University of Newcastle, said the effect was robust: "The results showed that the preferences of women who began using the contraceptive pill shifted towards men with genetically similar odours. Not only could similarity in Major Histocompatibility Complex in couples lead to fertility problems but it could ultimately lead to the breakdown of relationships when women stop using the contraceptive pill, as odour perception plays a significant role in maintaining attraction to partners."


NIGERIAN IMMIGRANTS BLASTED

In the Holy Republic of Eire, heroic journalist Kevin Myers (see previous) continued his one-man crusade for race realism, pointing out that that most of the South's adult immigrants from Nigeria were out of work and dependent on the state for accommodation (Irish Independent, 15 viii).


PEECEE POLICE TURN ON EACH OTHER

In a hilarious reminder that witchcraft trials only ended in the eighteenth century when prosecutors found themselves accused of witchcraft, Metropolitan police supremo Sir Ian Blair (who had enthusiastically implemented the `anti-racist' Macpherson Report [which made stop and search difficult and thus triggered the ten-year surge in muggings under Labour] and declined to discipline Muslim police for hate speech about homosexuals) had papers filed against him by Britain's most senior Srindopakeshi police officer, Assistant Commissioner Tarique Ghaffur, suing him and alleging thirty instances of racial discrimination at Scotland Yard and the Home Office (Daily Telegraph, 21 viii; Sun, 23 viii).

{Headquarters members of the usually pious-leftist National Union of Students also started accusing each other of `racism' - in particular of joking about slavery and of alcohol consumption that upset Mueslis (Guardian, 22 viii). And Ghaffur turned out also to be proceeding for 'racism' against one of his own deputies -- the head of security for London's 2012 Olympic Games.}


BEAUTY REALISM

Pretty girls have a natural advantage when it comes to attracting men. But stating the obvious had the Mayor of Mount Isa, Queensland, Oz, in all sorts of trouble with femininnies (The Australian, 21 viii). John Molony suggested that, with five blokes for every girl, "the beauty-disadvantaged women should proceed to Mt Isa". When asked to explain what he meant, the heroic Mayor said "it would naturally seem that there may well be less competition." But this was "a public attack on women and a form of verbal and emotional abuse," yowled one domestic violence workerine. It was appalling, shrieked a Mount Isa council womyn. Apologies were demanded; Molony's resignation was sought; and this new martyr for realism made world world-wide headlines.


BRAIN - IQ REALISM

Elephants were reported to make fine counting distinctions - such as between 3 and 4 apples dropped previously in buckets - in line with their large brains (esp. relative to body size) and high post-birth brain growth (approaching that for humans, higher than for dolphins and chimpanzees, and much higher than in most animals) (Sun, 22 viii).


STREAMING BACKED

Twelve years after Rev. Bliar's prioritizing of `Education! Education! Education!' which included the proposal to expand streamed teaching (as proposed at the same time in The g Factor), and two years after Conservative Education spokesman Michael Gove reacted to Blair's failures by bizarrely proposing a cumbrous, costly and easily circumvented mass privatization of education, the Daily Telegraph returned to basics with a fine editorial against mixed-ability teaching which concluded as follows (22 viii).

"The teaching establishment, shaped by a training structure that remains in thrall to clapped-out liberal orthodoxies - to such an extent that most jobs are still advertised in The Guardian - refused to oblige [Mr Blair]. Eleven years on [following Labour's 1997 General Election victory], fewer than half of classes are set [i.e. streamed according to pupils' previous achievements in subjects taught]. In the remainder, mixed-ability teaching - which proceeds at the pace of the slowest - reigns. It is this enervating educational mindset that an incoming Conservative government will have to change. Tory policies to give schools real control of their affairs - including admissions and staff recruitment {Are there really such plans? - CRB} - will in time break this ruinous consensus. But it will require immense political will. Just ask Tony Blair."

SLAVERY REALISM

The rapid colonization of Africa by China (see previously) was documented by Reuters, which reckoned there might be as many as 50,000 Chinks working in Algeria alone and vastly undercutting African wage rates (inflated by Western largesse) in their rapidly expanding businesses (20 viii). AmRen correspondents reckoned Black Africans would soon be hollerin' for the return of laid-back slave-master Whitey! But the scale of China's export of its own labour suggested that China might have actually resolved to avoid using uncastrated Black slaves in the hope of avoiding the eventual fates of South America, much of the Caribbean, the USA, South Africa and Portugal.

ANTI-ISLAM CARTOONS OKAYED

A Canadian publisher, Ezra Levant, won a `free speech' case in Alberta over his republication of Danish cartoons (e.g. showing Mahomet as a paedophile) - but said he had only won because he was so `big' that peecee forces got frit and because the presiding judged actually liked what he had written to accompany the cartoons (National Post, 6 viii).


CHRISTIANS FOR SEGREGATION

Only about 5 percent of the USA's churches were racially integrated, and a half of these were actually in the process of becoming all-black or all-white, said Curtiss Paul DeYoung, co-author of "United by Faith," a book on interracial churches. {So the Anglican Communion was not alone in finding it virtually impossible to keep enthusiastic Black fundamentalists in harness with fey White liberals.}


GOOD OL' BOYS OF VIGOUR

Despite being thought by IQ's critics far-gone cases of ultramontagne reaction and surely impossible perversity, at least three of the retired members of the London School had attracted new wives within the previous decade - Richard Lynn (who had bowled over an English ex-headmistress), yrs truly (a Taiwanese art historian [naturalized British 2005]), and lately Art Jensen (an English secretary from academia who had worked with him when he sabbaticalled with Hans Eysenck in London's Maudsley Hospital in the 1950s).


E'BUGGER FESTIVAL RACE REALISM

Fresh from the five-star semi-sympathetic portrayal of Hitler in the one-man show of AH's last hour in his Fuehrerbunker by genius actor/journalist/historian Paul Webster, the wife and I attend Shakespeare's goriest and most racist play, Titus Andronicus, which knocks WS's portrayal of simple-minded Black jealousy (Othello), Scottish plotting (Macbeth) and Jewish greed and vengefulness (Shylock) into a cocked hat. Not content with being toyboy to the captured German queen Tamora (yielding a half-caste lovechild), the (Black) Moor Aaron organizes for his mistress the gang rape of her Roman rival Lavinia (daughter of the wise but much disobeyed General Titus), ending with Lavinia having her tongue cut out and her hands sliced off with the aim that she cannot tell the tale - handicaps which she overcomes using a paintbrush gripped between her teeth. Understandably, Papa Titus finally orders that Tamora's body be thrown to wild beasts and that Aaron (who had also organized the killing of Lavinia's husband and himself callously murdered his child's nurse merely so that word of his affair with Tamora should not leak out) be buried chest-deep and left to die of thirst and starvation. The psychopathic Aaron, however, is unrepentant to the end, proclaiming:

"If one good deed in all my life I did,
I do repent it from my very soul."


BLACKS NEED 24-HOUR CURFEW - IMPOSED BY BLACK MAYOR

The 15K-strong and 66%-Black area of West Helena, south-east Arkansas, had a two-week-long 24-hour curfew imposed on it by its Black mayor in view of its off-the-scale level of crime (including random shootings) - far higher than in White Appalachia, to which it was similar in poverty and destitution. Police armed with military rifles made 32 arrests in the first week of the curfew, resulting in calls for it to be extended to other (mainly Black) areas (Associated Press, 13 viii).


SLAVERY REALISM -IN JAMAICA

The Jamaica Observer published an unexpected paean to slavery in America for Black Africans, written by a Black journalist. E.g., Michael Dingwall wrote (9 viii) (cf. Black journalist Keith Richburg's Out of America):

"Slavery was our most important contact with modernity. It is through this "most heinous system ever created" that we blacks were able to understand some of the principles of global trade. Our ancestors were introduced to the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade between Europe, Africa and the West Indies. Black Africa's part in the trade was the importation of European technology and the export of slaves. The importation of European technology was important-even though the Africans did not appreciate this importance at first. The export of slaves was also very important, especially for us in the West. As time went on, we blacks, both in Africa and especially in the Caribbean were, in many ways, being Europeanised and thus civilised."

Released early in in Vietnam (as a `model prisoner'), trim popstar Gary Glitter, 64 (once jailed for two months in Britain for kiddieporn), found himself pursued not only by UK tabloids and police but also, romantically, by his 35-year-old Cuban girlfriend Yudenia (by then with an extra child by a live-in lover) and the Vietnamese 19-year-old, Tu, whose relationship with GG (begun when she was 13) had led to his most recent confinement (News of the World, 17 viii 2008).

In July, rambunctious alcoholic Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood, 61, appeared to have dumped his 53-year-old wife of 23 loyal years standing (the marriage being the envy of the rock world) for petite blonde Muscovite cocktail waitress and lapdancer Ekaterina Ivanova, 19 -- though some of Ronnie's friends thought the besotted teenager (whisked off to Ronnie's luxury pad in the Holy Republic of Eire) just a muse for his painting and/or a drinking partner on a bender (Sun, 11 vii 2008 -- which went on to provide a resume of the Stones' babe-bagging; Sun, 18 vii - claiming Ronnie had also lately dated a 26-year-old Greek art student). But, as the wrinkly rocker came out of rehab to stay with friends and `re-adapt to the outside world,' friends claimed the already devoted Katia was well and truly bagged and was being bought a love nest in Richmond and an Afghan hound puppy and being given for her 20th birthday a Stones jacket and a nice drawing of her signed `Love, Ronnie' (News of the World, 17 viii 2008).}


DARING DUO STARTLE E'BUGGER BOOK FESTIVAL

I managed to raise the case of Simon Sheppard and Stephen Whittle (languishing in Santa Ana Prison, California, seeking political asylum in the US after being found guilty at Leeds Crown Court of publishing race hate thoughts against Jews, Muslims and other anti-Western and anti-British groups - see July) at a `Spiegeltent' discussion in Charlotte Square arranged by the liberal-left pro-free speech (for writers) group `PEN.'

No, the assembled worthies (proudly recalling their efforts of the Eighties (sic!) to help assorted endangered homosexualists, femininnies and campaigners for a Welsh Assembly - so long as such loopies refrained from rude criticism of Labour or the unions) had never heard of S&S - partly no doubt because of the astonishing month-long media blackout of the case arranged by the UK and US governments.

Yes, with the help of two young cronies, I once more proved myself the nigger in the woodpile - as I had three days previously when castigating leftie Marek Kohn and pacifist Cambridge prof Robert Hinde for discussing mankind's need for `trust' without once mentioning that the major cause of distrust was multicultural heterogeneity (esp. when Blacks are involved).

And, having disrupted the PEN love-in, the cronies and I then adjourned to the modern palace of the Ivory Lounge, west end of George Street (where Prince William used to drink), to celebrate our achievements while pondering the collapse of the West (for the media did manage to bring hourly confirmation of the failure of American policies in Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Palestine, Georgia and Pakistan and of the failure of the American right to halt the rise of Borat Hussein Obama - likely to result in the burning of American cities whether or not Osama won the November Presidential Election).


"NO NEGRO PROBLEM" - TOP LEFTIST

Faced at the Edinburgh Book Festival with the ingenious London leftie, Kenan Malik FRSA, who admits there are some physical race differences of relevance to medicine but then cunningly insists race is a "social construct" that should only be used "in context" (i.e. under his supervision) and, since biologists are generally "divided" as to whether race is real (e.g. Craig Venter vs Neil Risch and Armand Leroi), it would be better to get heads back in the sand about race - not least the head of Borat Obama's pastor Jeremiah Wright who had become convinced that Whites were `left-brained' and Blacks were `right-brained' - I questioned the tall Indian-born (of Muslim parentage) ex-Trotskyite writer, broadcaster and LU.Surrey Visiting Fellow as follows.

I would like to congratulate Kenan Malik on his complex 35-minute dance around the the field of race; and especially on discussing `race realism' -- a term which was invented in Edinburgh. I sometimes feel Kenan resembles the Archbishop of Canterbury: struggling to reconcile irreconcilable Christians and Muslims and at risk of falling between two stools. But no matter!

Getting away from the lofty problems of whether race is a scientific concept, I would like to ask Kenan a strictly practical question. As he probably agrees, the major worldwide racial difference is that in intelligence between Whites and East Asians on the one hand and Blacks on the other. As I'm quite sure he agrees, Whites have largely fail to integrate Blacks into the modern cultures and lifestyles which Whites themselves have created. For example, a million Blacks make up 50% of the USA's prison population though Blacks only constitute 13% of the general US population. Whether in the USA, the UK, the Caribbean, France or sub-Saharan Africa (where the average Black IQ is only around 70), Blacks present huge problems of crime, sexual disease, single parenting, educational failure and destitution.

Yet once upon a time Blacks were broadly integrated - employed, fit and healthy, and aspiring to Christianity and family values. That system was of course slavery; and its abolition - a British Empire `first' - made Blacks unemployable, with Whites having to resort to bringing Chinese labour to the Americas and Indian labour to south-east Africa. Now, today, it is China which has plans to integrate Blacks: there are already at least a million Chinese in Africa selling guns to despots in return for minerals and building bridges and railways. So does Kenan think the Chinese imperial effort will be likely to solve the Negro problem?

As the Pepper Theatre tent rang with cries from the sedate midday middle-class audience of "Neo-Nazi!", KM gave only this reply before passing rapidly to other questioners: "There is no Negro problem." But at least my art historian wife was radiant that I had, for the third time this Festival, I had managed to put the boot into the rump of an overpaid ignoracist..

MULTICULTI MAYHEM

As bone analysis revealed that 50% of the 800 sailors on Henry VIII's great lost ship `Mary Rose' were from southern Europe (probably captured Spaniards), the loss of the ship was attributed to sailors not understanding orders in English to close gunwales as the ship made a sharp turn in a high wind (Times, 1 viii) {budding European Army please note}.


WHERE TO FIND CHILD ABUSE

While 200 paedohysterical policepersons of Britain worked tirelessly in Jersey for the fourth month on non-discovery of evidence of child murder or anything else very much at Haut de la Garenne ex-orphanage (where Jimmy Savile had been a frequent visitor c. 1970), it turned out that child abuse was "endemic" in St Nelson Mandela's South Africa, with 44% of boys claiming to have been raped by someone (most often a woman) by age 18 (AmRen, 2 viii).


AFFIRMATIVE RACISM OPPOSED

Bringing amazement and pleasure to conservatives and libertarians, elderly US Presidential contender John McCain said he would support an Arizona ballot proposal banning affirmative action (i.e. discrimination in favour of `minorities') (AmRen, 2 viii) - though some thought his reversal of his historic pro-AA position a sign that he was finally losing his marbles in his desperation to cling on to a few White votes as most young Whites sought absolution for the sins of their race in the arms of the mulatto Boring Hussein Osama..


COURTS BACK RACE SURVIVAL

Sexual harassment was O.K. as it ensured Russians would breed, a St Petersburg judge ruled. A Russian advertising executive who sued her boss for sexual harassment lost her case after a judge ruled that employers were obliged to make passes at female staff to ensure the survival of the human race (Daily Telegraph, 30 vii, Adrian Blomfield, Moscow). A 22-year-old female executive had alleged she had been locked out of her office after she refused to have intimate relations with her 47-year-old boss, but the judge called the boss "gallant" rather than criminal.


ISRAELI RACE REALISM

After 30 years of admitting 120,000 self-styled Jews from Ethiopia (mean national IQ 64), Israel announced it was slamming the door on further such immigration - for the Ethiopian immigrants and their descendants had turned out to be uneducable, unemployable and poor (despite government underwriting of mortgages for them) (Daily Telegraph, 6 viii). Leaders of the already-immigrated Ethiopians promptly accused their hosts of `discrimination' and `prejudice.'


BRAIN-IQ LINKS ADMITTED

Scientific American (ix) admitted that brain size (especially in some areas, e.g. frontal and cingulated) and other neurological indices (energy consumption) had been linked in recent work to intelligence -- though words like `Rushton' and `race' were avoided and the article had to conclude with the reassurance that Einstein could not have got where he did without the help of friends and family.


LEFTISTS IN DENIAL

As the mighty Alexander Solzhenytsin died, leaving his martyrs' monument to communism's still largely unadmitted 36 years of mass-million slaughter (1917-1953), the LUniversity of Edinburgh refused to acknowledge or discuss its 2«-year effort to end academic free speech in the U.K. (1996-1998) and the Jewish Simon Wiesenthal Centre, busy pursuing some decrepit Nazi death-camp medic in South America, refused to admit the culpability of many Jews in the barbaric crimes of the Soviets (Kevin Myers, Belfast Telegraph, 8/8/8).


RACE REALISM REVIVES

"Human kind cannot bear very much reality." Thus spoke Nobelist T.S.Eliot through his hero archbishop Thomas a Becket in Murder in the Cathedral (Part II) - so Edinburgh's Festivallers were reminded in a fine dramatized performance of the poem in Old St Paul's Church, and history had borne Eliot out in the assault on Western families, freedoms and races by welfarism, socialism and peecee multiculturalism. But from cocaine and knife-crime capital London came word of a possible new trend: for top girl singer, the Jewish, beehived and druggy Amy Whitehouse (her pop star boyfriend recently jailed) had been recorded singing of "Blacks, Pakis, Gooks and Nips" (baring and squeezing her nipples at the appropriate moment) - shocking the pious News of the World with her "racism" (10 viii).


LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON II

Although the High Court had found Max Mosley (see above, April) to have had his privacy unreasonably invaded by the News of the World (which had been unable to prove that Mosley's hours-long masochist sessions with German-speaking prostitutes dressed as prison guards had an expressly Nazi theme), the public interest of the exposure was further attested by an entry in George Orwell's diary of August 29, 1939, concerning Max's Fascist father, Oswald: "Miscellaneous: It appears from reliable private information that Sir O. Mosley is a masochist of the extreme type in his sexual life." (Reported Times, 25 vii, and Private Eye, 8 viii).

SIMILARITY-SEEKING ADMITTED

After a generation of multicultural propaganda, former U.S. President Bill Clinton admitted people had not in fact been enchanted by the diversity dream. He cited statistics compiled by [Bill] Bishop [in his book The Big Sort] that found that in the 1976 presidential election, only 20 percent of the nation's counties voted for Jimmy Carter or President Ford by more than a 20 percent margin. By contrast, 48 percent of the nation's counties in 2004 voted for John Kerry or President Bush by more than 20 points, Clinton said. "We were sorting ourselves out by choosing to live with people that we agree with," Clinton said.


LIES, DAMNED LIES AND GOVERNMENTISTICS

After weeks of government protestations (and London-mayoral insistence) that police would be free to `stop and search' (Black youth) (so as to control London's orgy of knife crime), the Observer (20 vii) admitted that police were "afraid" to use such `sus' powers because of the lengthy bureaucracy involved and the risk of accusations of `racism' -- and that Britain's scores of thousands of "police community support officers" did anyhow not possess such elementary powers.


PEECEE WITCH-HUNTING DENOUNCED

A summary and denunciation of recent witch-hunting of British people who had joined the BNP or otherwise flirted with criticizing standard-issue multiculturalism was provided in the Brussels Journal (22 vii) - including the information that top ballerina Simone Clarke had retired from her profession soon after her BNP membership had been revealed.


PAEDOPHILE TRIUMPH

Defying tabloid paedohysteria, a London exhibition of (wife-hated, wife-stealing and Jew-killing) boy-lover Roman emperor Hadrian was applauded in the Guardian (23 vii) - which especially noted its "achingly erotic" portrayals of young males as well as the anecdote of Hadrian "crying like a woman" over the sudden death (mysteriously, in the Nile) of his "beauteous" boy Antinous (age 14 when the generally peace- and culture-loving `gay'[acc. to Grauniad] Hadrian took up with him).


CHINESE TO SUPPLANT NEGROES

Sir Francis Galton got an unwontedly favourable mention in despatches as the Daily Mail's Andrew Malone detailed China's plan to take over the failed states of Africa lock, stock and barrel (18 vii). Galton had written (Times, 5 vi 1873):

"My proposal is to make the encouragement of Chinese settlements of Africa a part of our national policy, in the belief that the Chinese immigrants would not only maintain their position, but that they would multiply and their descendants supplant the inferior Negro race. I should expect that the African seaboard, now sparsely occupied by lazy, palavering savages, might in a few years be tenanted by industrious, order-loving Chinese, living either as a semi-detached dependency of China, or else in perfect freedom under their own law."

According to Malone, Chinese implementation of this plan was advancing rapidly (cf. this Diary/Blog, February 2008), with over a million Chinese already in Africa to organize and run the plunder of African raw materials - paying only the Dark Continent's dictators and never the bulk of its 800M low-IQ inhabitants, whom the Chinese found (as had the British in South Africa and the Caribbean after the abolition of slavery in 1833) to be largely incapable of regular work without the use of the lash.


RACE-REALISTIC RIGHT-ISM FOR ROME

Despite howls from Brussels `human rights' supremos and from the displaced Italian left, Italy - and especially Rome - pressed on with Giuliani-style `zero tolerance' for crime, 50% of which was the work of Romanian gypsies when they took time off from begging (Spectator, 23 vii). Illegal immigration was made a crime and police began interrogating the denizens of the country's squatter camps (85 in Rome alone - only 11 of them legal).


SCOTLAND REDEEMED

As the voters of supposedly workshy and welfare-dependent Glasgow East gave Grumpy Supreme Leader Gordon a bloody nose (delivering the [admittedly leftish and separatist] Scottish Nationalist Party a 365 majority in Labour's third-safest Scottish seat), a fine old music-hall song was recalled by grateful Britons, glad to recognize East-Glaswegians as after all part of the human race:

I belong to Glasgae, dear old Glasgae toon;
But something's the matter with Glasgae
For it's going roon' and roon'.
I'm only a common old working chap as anyone here can see;
But when I get a couple of drinks on a Saturday,
Glasgae belongs to me!

Even the Guardian's Jeremy Seabrook reckoned, along with me, that the Labour Party (exhumed c. 1995 and repainted in the rainbow multicultural colours of `minorities') was no longer relevant to anything and was indeed "history" (25 vii) - though good for taking the blame for over-borrowing, over-regulation, political correctness and neglect of IQ till furnishing a display of fireworks when finally blown up at a General Election.

At the same time, the death of leading lefty academic loon Jerry Hirsch - who denied any genetic differences that could not be pinpointed in the fruitfly - was announced by Michigan's Ferris State University's `Institute for the Study of Academic Racism' (prop. Barry Mehler). While the London School had lost in the past decade Richard Herrnstein, Hans Eysenck, Paul Kline, Raymond Cattell, Lee Willerman, Glayde Whitney, Dan Vining, Nathaniel Weyl, Robert K. Graham and (effectively) Art Jensen, the environmentaloony left had lost Stephen Jay Gould, Michael Who, Urie Bronfenbrenner, Jerry Hirsch and (effectively) Richard Lewontin and Leon Kamin.

The remaining nature-nurture battle over intelligence was thus between the London School's Rushton, Lynn, Nyborg, the strikingly Afro-haired Linda Gottfredson, Levin, Kane, Weiss, Pearson, Marian van Court, yrs truly and possibly Bouchard, Deary, Bates, Plomin + grant-getter kin on the one hand and Howie Gardner, Stephen Ceci, Steve Jones, Steven Rose and aficionados of Golemanic `emotional intelligence' on the other.

Myself, I was glad to see my 1997 Cambridge speech, `Why to welcome race realism,' had been posted on the net in 2007 by the `Fathers' Manifesto and Christian Party'; and to see that blonde Texan belle Marian van Court's succinct article `The case for eugenics in a nutshell' had appeared in the 2004 Occidental Quarterly. A useful and only slightly leftish summary of information on topics and personnel re `race and intelligence' was to be found here

Still outraged by Nobelist James Watson, one Kathie O'Keefe indicted the London School in The Root (17 vii 2008):

"The choice of the battlefield is potentially decisive in war while good intelligence on the enemy and the enemy's goals and capabilities is crucial in battleground choice. So here. It is crucial to understand that the eugenic societies of England and America still exist and it is their members - past and present - who have spread and are still spreading the idea of a genetic African IQ deficit. Members include Robert Yerkes, Cyril Burt, Arthur Jensen, Plomin, HJ Eysenck, and Chris Brand. They are the enemy and the battleground is eugenics. The eugenicists focus on an alleged African inferiority is a taint that entered eugenics with its founder, Francis Galton. Galton's ancestors were immersed in the slave trade - as slave owners, slave voyage financiers and makers of guns for the slave trade."

It turned out that a nice 2008 memorial had been provided to the Whites (never Blacks!) who had lost their jobs for `racist' remarks - in VDare, 12 ii.

RACE REALISTS FLEE TO U.S., SEEKING ASYLUM

In a damning indictment of Britain as being no longer a home of free speech, two northerners found guilty at Leeds Crown Court of several charges of `inciting racial hatred' (by publishing at an American website what they held to be nothing but jokes, facts and occasional `slurs' on Jews and Muslims, and criticisms of political correctness), went on the run and arrived via Dublin in Los Angeles where they sought political asylum (Yorkshire Post, 16 vii). Simon Sheppard, 51, and highly-informed and amusing writer Stephen Whittle, 41 (aka Luke O'Farrell), bailed while awaiting further verdicts and possible retrials for non-agreed verdicts on some charges, had typically received 4,000 callers daily at Sheppard's website, Heretical.com. (`Luke' had interviewed me earlier this year: `Man of Vod': Brand from the Burning.')


BLACK-ON-BLACK REALISM

In a fine reminder of what cowed Whites no longer dared say, let alone do (as was sometimes done in lynchings), leading Afro-American loon pastor Jesse Jackson - apparently jealous of the poll success of his toned-down `moderate' half-caste rival Obama (who had mentioned the little problem of most Black kids growing up without their fathers) - declared he would like to "cut the nuts off" Borat Osama (Sun, 11 vii).


RACE REALISM FROM IRELAND

In what was for the mainstream modern press of the British Isles and the West an unprecedently savage article about Africa, astonishingly appearing in the centre-right Irish Independent (10 vii, `Africa is giving nothing to anyone - apart from AIDS'), columnist Kevin Myers (who sometimes wrote for the Daily Telegraph) condemned Western handouts and kindred pandering to the Dark Continent, observing "..we now have almost an entire continent of sexually hyperactive indigents, with tens of millions of people who only survive because of help from the outside world." Though he did not advise his readers of IQ & Wealth of Nations or IQ and Global Inequality (reviewed by me in 2002 and 2008 at Amazon Books), he left no doubt that Africa's swelling population of the unproductive was intolerable - a daring suggestion in a usually Catholic-leaning newspaper, but eliciting support from Ballina, Co. Mayo and elsewhere (11 vii; 12 vii), and even a critic admitted that Africans had a lot of catching up to do (Hibernia Girl, 11 vii).

This is to congratulate you on letting Kevin Myers break the Western media's politically correct taboo on frank discussion of the problems of African underproductivity of virtually anything except AIDS and babies. Africa's grave and charity-resistant problems, summarized recently as "endemic moral deficit" by one Nigerian theologian,* have long been known to scholars and are traceable simply to low intelligence, with sub-Saharan Blacks having an average IQ of only around 75 -- as documented in the recent books IQ & Wealth of Nations or IQ and Global Inequality (reviewed by me in 2002 and 2008 at Amazon Books). Africa desperately needs organization which, while Western idealists throw cash at the problem, only the Chinese seem likely to supply.

* Revealed 12 vii (in the Torygraph) to have been Professor Paulinus Odozor of Notre Dame University, USA, a Catholic priest of the Holy Ghost Order, who had independently broadcast his idea on the BBC without apparent complaint.

The Indo's other correspondents also largely accepted KM's view of Africans as "Kalashnikov-toting, khat-chewing, girl-circumcising, permanently tumescent layabouts". Evidently, Irish Catholics were capable of putting Daft Dave Cameron, UKIP, Conservative Democrats, the New Party, the London School and the British National Party quite in the shade.

Within days, the Immigrant Council of Ireland (ICI) announced it would make an official complaint to the Garda S¡ochana [the Eirish police] and with the National Consultative Committee on Racism and Interculturalism (NCCRI) about the publication of what it considered to be "a racially offensive article" (Irish Times, 15 vii). "We believe the published article does not just overstep the boundary of common decency -- it triple jumps right past that -- but it also crosses the legal boundaries," said ICI chief executive Denise Charlton. The Irish Times joined the fray with an article by its occasional columnist Bryan Mukandi urging more education and investment for Africa - though by whom was not specified.

"He was elected, he took an oath, and he is here with us, so he is President and we cannot ask him more," said Mr Bongo. "He conducted elections and I think he won." Only Botswama declined to recognize the `elections' which had left Mugabe and his murdering thugs in place. It move army units including heavy artillery to its 300-mile border with crisis-torn Zimbabwe

After 12 years of NuLabour rule and appointments of top police, a superintendent cop in Wales (female) gave it as her considered opinion that youths in some areas were "almost feral," regarding teenage gangs as their families after years of Labour bringing the traditional family to its knees. And, in the USA, after a decade of `No Child Left Behind' and similar `affirmative' standards-lowering charades, the Chronicles of Education carried an article saying that the country's most over-rated product was the bachelor's degree.

Academia

Lawrence Summers was pushed out of the Harvard presidency for academic honesty (he actually considerably understated his argument). That was a disgrace. The current president, Drew Gilpin Faust, ran the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study which is one of the most powerful incubators of feminist complaint and nonsensical academic theory in the US. This is worrying. The triumph of political correctness over science and meritocracy in the most influential university in the world does not bode well for science or progress.

British universities muzzle their academic staff, too. Chris Brand was sacked from his 27-year tenured position at Edinburgh University in 1997 for his opinions. Last year Dr Frank Ellis was suspended from Leeds University for restating what has been known for half a century. Of the eight signatories on the letter published in the Sunday Times in support of Frank Ellis, only one had its roots in a British University, and that was Chris Brand. It would appear that political correctness also breeds cowardice.

Helmuth Nyborg, one of the most cited Danish psychologists, had a paper on intelligence pass peer review in Personality and Individual Differences (Nyborg 2005). In what the Times called a conscious shift of strategy (8 vii), Conservative leader David Cameron said he would not shirk from discussing public morality and claimed that social problems were often the consequence of individuals' choices. Visiting one of Britain's most wretchedly welfare-dependent constituencies, Glasgow East, he returned to traditional Tory thinking by declaring: "We talk about people being `at risk of obesity' instead of talking about people who eat too much and take too little exercise," he said. "We talk about people being at risk of poverty, or social exclusion: it's as if these things - obesity, alcohol abuse, drug addiction - are purely external events like a plague or bad weather. Of course, circumstances - where you are born, your neighbourhood, your school and the choices your parents make - have a huge impact. But social problems are often the consequence of the choices people make."

The Daily Mirror was duly outraged (8 vii): "Mr Cameron made his astonishing attack in one of the most deprived areas of the UK - speaking out for his party as it prepares to contest the Glasgow East by-election. Labour MP Stephen Pound blasted: "It's easy for someone with a vast fortune to lecture the rest of us. If he'd lived the lives of some of those he is criticising, he'd be heard with respect. But he's just a posh tourist dropping in and out." Lib Dem MP Willie Rennie said: "This is the old Tories."" Said the paper's editorial, Cameron "had gone from hug-a-hoody to kick-a-granny."

On the same day, Labour P.M. Gordon Brown said that Brits should eat up their slops and refuse Tesco offers to `buy one, throw one free' - announcing this from a G8 meeting of leaders in Tokyo, where they were enjoying 5-course lunches and 8-course dinners (including caviar and truffles) washed down with champagne, fine French wines and saki (Sun, 8 vii).

Even the would-be libertarian David Davis, battling for habeas corpus in his self-chosen Yorkshire by-election, dared not mention the gross suppression of free speech under NuLabour terror, let alone the ongoing attempt to imprison two anti-Semitic writers in a six-week trial at Leeds Crown Court (which remained uncovered by the peecee Britoid media lest the jury sided with the race realists as in the 2006 Leeds acquittal on `race hate' charges of the anti-Islamic BNP leader Nick Griffin).}


BBC RACE REALISM!

In a rare failure of its notorious peecee `sensitivity,' BBC Radio 4's flagship `Today' programme transmitted on its June 30 godslot `Thought for the Day' a claim by eminent author and writer Clifford Longley that Africans suffered from an "endemic moral deficit" (Daily Telegraph, 10 vii; Daily Mail, 10 vii; Guardian, ). Longley, formerly the Religious Correspondent of the Times, said African culture had always lacked "a developed sense of common humanity," which explained "Africa's propensity to turn to massacre and genocide." He said a Nigerian theologian had recently told him of the deficit. The moral deficit explained, the theologian had said, "how African tribal chiefs had felt no moral qualms about capturing slaves from neighbouring districts and selling them to white slave traders; and later, doing land deals with white settlers. Hence also Africa's propensity to turn to massacre and genocide such as we saw in Rwanda and Congo, and narrowly avoided seeing again very recently in Kenya." Yowls of `Racism!' were heard from the usual quarters.
