MULTICULTI ENDING?

Despite decades of multiculti propaganda and ‘anti-racist’ threats to Whites’ jobs and liberty, fully 75% of Brits (and thus at least 80% of White Brits) believed that unemployed immigrants should leave the country (Sun, 17 iii). {So, presumably, there would have been a 95% vote for offloading the unemployed Muesli fanatics who shouted “Murderers!” at Anglian Regiment soldiers returning from ghastly service in scorching Iraq to otherwise welcoming crowds in Luton.}

{Sadly, such Brits reckoned without the keen need of the (Nu)Labour Party for votes and of employers for a standing pool of unemployed cheap labour. Britain had created a broken, ‘disability’ society in which some 50% of people were dependent on the government for jobs (O.K., mock jobs), pensions or benefits; and the country was forecast to have a 10% population increase from immigration by 2030, bringing London to its knees with average traffic speeds of 5m.p.h. and allowing direct study by replication of how Rome fell.}


MULTICULTI SLEAZEBAG RUMBLED ]

Slimy multiculti Indian M.P., Hinduja-helping Keith “Vaseline” Vaz, who had called for action against Muslim-infuriating novelist Salman Rushdie and IQ-respecting scientist and Nobelist James Watson and who had once been suspended by the House of Commons for lying, was well and truly caught with his hand in the till, trying to bully a High Court judge to clear a pal (a bent lawyer who had showered Vaz with freebies) (Sun, 17 iii).


LIBERAL EAST

While Britain and much of the West remained in hysteria about the most harmless sexual shenanigans (hysteria fomented by tabloid newspapers to provide moral ’balance’ for their copious displays of tit’n’bum and encouraged by yags wanting to pretend they had no interest in sodomy, bestiality, sibling sex or ’chicken’ [homosexuals’ familiar term for in fact much-desired under-age boys]), the Romanian Government was taking the advice of its expert adviser, Professor Valerian Coclei, and urging its Parliament to decriminalize all incest between consenting adults (which, incidentally, would make it easier for any genuinely disturbed incestuous couples to seek therapy).

{Father-daughter incest was popular, with Ceylon alone sporting some 10,000 cases annually. In a Finnish survey, one teenage girl in 200 reported having had sex with her father or stepfather. Whether Romania intended additionally to legalize or fund incestuous reproduction or attempts thereat was unclear.}


THIRD-WORLD HOSPITALS FOR BRITAIN

As a Midlands hospital, run by Mid-Staffordshire NHS Trust, was widely condemned in MSM for sickeningly low standards of patient care, only the BNP was prepared to reveal that the hospital’s third-world standards (with patients having to lie in their own faeces and seek drinking water from flower vases) were probably not unconnected with its literal employment of a considerable over-representation of third-world immigrants – to whom it provided club facilities such as tuition in “African drumming“ (19 iii).

CATTELL DEFENDED

After an attack in Inside Higher Education on the late hereditarian psychometrician-psychologist, Raymond B. Cattell (1905-1998) for undue racism and eugenicism, I published a reply as follows (See here).

Ray was a genius. He not only solved psychology's major problem, 'What are the main dimensions of personality?' (Answer: 6, including intelligence*) but his fluent writing style enabled him to popularize them. Though sympathetic to Freudian conceptions, Ray acknowledged the importance of genetic factors -- again making himself more expert in relevant scientific methods than any other psychologist of his day. That he should have been vilified at the end of his high-achieving life for questioning the West's soppy policies towards the low-IQ, high-criminality, corrupt, brutal, chauvinist, superstitious and AIDS-ridden countries of Africa and the Caribbean is simply a testament to his own good sense. His only mistake in life -- as he himself admitted -- was that he did not marry the 'outspeaking' William McDougall's brave daughter, Lesley, and thus fortify the line of descent of the London School of psychology.

A fine review in New Criterion (iii) traced the barbarism of Marxist-Leninist-Stalinism directly to crass social environmentalism and lack of belief in human nature and the individual human spirit.

Positive correlations were reported from McGill University between the thickness of cortical areas thought to co-ordinate brain activity and measures of general cognitive ability in 500 healthy children and adolescents (Intelligence, iii).


GREEN GURU DEMANDS POPULATION REDUCTION

Brave British Green leader, Jonathan Porritt, risked losing his job as adviser (on ’environmental issues’) to P.M. Gordon Brown by saying that Britain’s population (scheduled to grow to 70M by 2050 largely thanks to births to third-world immigrants) needed to be slashed to 30M (Times, 22 iii). {Porritt had already split his own party on this issue and was likely to split it some more if Greens ever turned to discussing which particular groups should be – as Cattell sometimes put it -- ’phased out.’}


MULTICULCHALUNACY CHALLENGED

After years of Jews and Christians backing multiculturalism, PeeCee and third-world immigration, there was at last a sign of serious change. Backed by a well-funded organization called ’Act for America’ and favourably reviewed in New York Post (22 ix), Jamie Glazier’s United in Hate provided a broadside against Islamofascism and the tolerance of it by leftists and ’pseudo-feminists.’ Interestingly, it especially claimed that there were commonly deficiencies in the love-lives of multicultis – with a noticeable inability for form stable and healthy heterosexual relationships.

MARCHING MORONS ZAPPED

Most unusually, a leading academic, Peter Dorey, a reader in politics at Cardiff University, was allowed to appear in public and in Times Higher (5 iii) condemning many modern university students as unable to think critically or independently and not deserving the dumbed-down marks which academics were bullied by their managements to award them. He told a parliamentary higher education committee:

"Many of them are semi-literate and write in text-message style. However, we have to assume that the inability to spell is always due to dyslexia. We are not permitted to penalise poor spelling … They often sit in seminars with only their mobile phone in front of them (which they anxiously look at every three minutes to see if any of their friends have contacted them, rather than paying attention to the lesson), but no books or notepads. "Indeed, the view is becoming established that having paid £3,000 in fees, they should not have to do any work. They expect academics to do all the work now - we are their servants.

Dorey was backed up by other academics – from the Universities of Swansea, Buckingham and Birmingham.


MULTICULTI ENDING

As Iraq’s Baghdad yielded another 28 dead (and 57 wounded) in a single suicide bombing of Shittite police, Pakistan stepped forward with five murdered insufficiently-Taliban policemen (and 8 wounded Ceylonese cricketers), Guadeloupe etc. rebelled against the beke (White bosses), Iran insisted on the destruction of Israel, and Muslim Sudan (its leader indicted internationally as a war criminal) insisted (to acclaiming crowds) on its right to go on murdering and raping millions of Christians and animists), the beneficiaries of Rev. ‘Tone’ Bliar’s Northern Irish ‘peace process’ threw in their unharmonious two penn’orth by murdering two British soldiers at Massereene Barracks and injuring two others together with two pizza delivery operatives.

No sooner had the Province’s Blair-gulled multicultiloons squeaked (from among Belfast's 13 miles of 'community'-separating barbed-wire-topped walls) their continuing worship of the ‘peace process’ than the ‘Real IRA’ claimed responsibility for the Massereene attack and the ‘Continuity IRA,’ not to be outdone, murdered a policeman who had put undue faith in the fatuous Rev. Bliar and multiculti NuLabour.

In Luton, ‘England,’ British troops were accosted by Mueslis as “murderers” as they returned from service in Basra, and were deemed to need a police guard to be able to march through the streets. The shame of multiculti Britain was surely complete.


ORTHODOX ENVISAGE WHITE UNITY

While world leaders of the ‘G20’ spent £30M on a country-house junket in Sussex that would never diagnose the cause of the multiculticrunch and would never tell governments to stop their idiotic spending (and bullying of banks into lending) which had undermined families and churches, there came a blast of race realism from the East – in Orthodoxy Today, 21 ii, ‘The North worth saving.’


PEECEE MOVE TO RESTRICT HUMAN RIGHTS REJECTED

After The Edinburgh Journal published (12 iii, a propos the anti-Semitic and Holocaust-denying Bishop Williamson) a suggestion that more be done to restrict free speech worldwide, I wrote as follows.

Dear Editor,

It was amusing to see an Edinburgh student, Nazry Bahwari, continuing his University's latter-day tradition of wanting non-peecee speech stopped and punished (The Journal, 12 iii 2009). But he should be careful where his righteous zeal takes him.

Just twelve years ago, the University ended a year of inquiries into me (a lecturer in Psychology for 27 years) by mounting a three-month Tribunal to adjudicate my 'inappropriate' sayings about race, I.Q., eugenics, feminism and paedohysteria. After taking evidence, such as of naughty jokes made at parties given by me in my own home and of me objecting to long committee meetings, the divided Tribunal and the then Principal (today Lord Sutherland) managed to sack me.

But was the University happy with 15 months of endeavour that must have cost it some 100,000 pounds? Apparently not, for enquirers today about the Brand Affair (which began a process of scaring and reining in academics across Britain for talking about race) find at Old College that the administration has lost, forgotten or shredded every trace of a 15-month inquisition that involved the time of many eminent professors, not to mention a fleet of other academics and students (especially from Psychology).

Apparently, despite having had its secretaries undertake scores of hours of recording, the only detail the University retains is an 'Anti-Nazi League' petition against me that was signed by some 500 (whose names the University has managed to retain but won't divulge). In short, it looks distinctly as if none of the accusing parties ended up proud of their lengthy and arduous work.

Before Nazri Bahwari commits effort to restricting the 1948 Declaration of Human Rights, he should reflect that a 'right to anodyne speech' is not worth a bean. All criticism is bound to offend someone -- especially, at least a few members of a precious minority that has been cocooned from the true views of others. The great British jurist, Lord Chancellor for four years, Lord Hailsham, put it in a nutshell in 1977: “There is no way of having a free society in which there is not abuse. Abuse is the very hallmark of liberty.”

Is Bahwari himself proud of his University's refusal to give a job to Britain's greatest philosopher, David Hume, whose views on religion were doubtless as offensive to Scottish dominies of his day as would be his views on race* to the peecee commissars of our own times?

PHYSIOLOGY AND GENETICS OF MENTAL SPEED CONFIRMED

As had been hypothesized in The g Factor (1996), myelin coating of nerves (speeding up nervous transmission and known since J.B.Watson’s work of 1905 to assist animal learning) turned out to be correlated with I.Q. and to be heritable. By comparing brain maps of 23 pairs of identical twins with maps from fraternal twins, Paul Thompson et al. of U.C.L.A. calculated that myelin sheath integrity was genetically determined in many brain areas important for intelligence. These included the corpus callosum, which integrates signals from the left and right sides of the body, and the parietal lobes, responsible for visual and spatial reasoning and logic. Myelin quality in these areas was also correlated with scores on tests of abstract reasoning and overall intelligence (Journal of Neuroscience 29, p. 2212). Such brain maps provide “a picture of your mental speed,” said Thompson.


S.P.L.C. WAKES UP – A LITTLE

Fully six months after Steve Sailer (and I) recorded the origin of the US-originating multiculticrunch, the loony-left Southern Poverty Law Centre began to noice “how right-wing commentators are spreading propaganda that falsely blames minorities and immigrants for the subprime mortgage meltdown” (‘Intelligence Report,’ iii 09).

{No, SPLC! We do not blame minorities but rather ‘the first black President of the USA,’ Bill Clinton, the Hispanic-vote-seeking Rev. Dubya, and of course minority ‘community leaders’ such as Obarmy. It was these and sidekicks who bullied the American banks 1995-2005, threatening them with race runarounds if they would not deliver the modern socialism of irresponsible mortgages to the low-IQ.}


THE QUEEN’S COLLEGE ZOOMS TO SCORE

Queen’s alumnus Sir Timothy John Berners-Lee, OM, KBE, FRS, FREng, FRSA (born 8 June, 1955; graduated from Oxford 1976; invented and donated the worldwide web 1989) achieved the best-ever publicity for his college as he was hailed and nicely pictured in the Sun (13 iii).

{The Queen’s College had been something of a British bastion of hereditarianism, eugenicism and race realism, sporting in the 1960s biologist Sir Howard Florey, OM (co-discoverer of penicillin) [d. 1968], physiological psychologist David Milton Vowles [d. 1985], linguist Geoffrey Sampson [U. Sussex] and myself – David having finally been rejected by Oxford as insufficiently behaviourist [he then took the Psychology Chair in Edinburgh] and the last two being among the half-a-dozen British academics to have clashed with university authorities over race in recent years.}


I.Q. LINKED TO MUSICAL TASTES

Fans of Beethoven are the brightest music devotees, typically coming from schools having average published S.A.T. scores of almost 1400; fans of indie music, U2, Radiohead, Bob Dylan and the Beatles come next; and fans of the outstandingly hung (and highly promiscous) Justin Timberlake and Black singers Beyonce Knowles, Lil Wayne and Jay-Z and of Black rap, hip-hop and R&B ‘music’ in general were quite the lowest, with average school S.A.T.s of around 1000. So reported U.S. Ph.D. student Virgil Griffiths from an unusual study using data given by the (probably none-too-bright) users of social networking sites (Daily Telegraph, 13 iiia, 13iiib; Seattle University Spectator, 13 iii) (and N.B. finding that just claiming to like ‘classical’ music without naming names was associated with a lower rather than higher IQ).

Extraordinarily, a top mainstream-media columnist criticized NuLabour’s “misguided promotion of multiculturalism and open borders” (Daily Telegraph, 13 iii, the increasingly bilious and heroic Jeff Randall).


B.B.C. READS

American Renaissance (PERHAPS VIA Wall Street Journal) I was glad to be quoted by the BBC’s genial top intellectual popularizer, its former Chief Political Correspondent, Andrew Marr (‘Darwin’s Dangerous Idea,’ BBC 1, 12 iii 09). Having summarized the usual plot-line linking Darwin and Spencer’s principal of ‘survival of the fittest’ through Galtonian eugenics to Hitlerian genocide (mentioning Churchill en route but not the Webbs and kindred socialist luminaries*), Marr went on to admit that, post-1945, Jewish medics had actually worked busily and successfully to extinguish Tay-Sachs disease from their people by (voluntary) eugenics and then announced Chinaman Bruce Lahn’s work linking two genes for head size (and thus possibly intelligence) to being of non-African origin. “This is the moment ‘anti-racists’ and egalitarians had been dreading,” Marr lifted from my 2005 AmRen article. Of course, after jocularity about Marr himself being found not to possess the two genes, it was revealed out that Lahn’s finding had proved hard to replicate – not least (though AM did not mention this) because Chicago University had prevailed on Lahn to work in other ‘less speculative’ fields (see e.g. Wall Street Journal, 16 vi 2006, AmRen 2006 or this Diary/Blog 2006 for a summary).

It turned out that South Africa’s Blacks, known for a decade to rape women and children to cure themselves of AIDS, also had another and nobler motive – to cure girls of lesbian tendencies (Daily Mail, 13 iii). Citizen gang-rape, stabbings and beatings were also thrown in for good measure to help les gals.

Meanwhile, in America, despite White distaste for, and widespread criminalization of the practice, Blacks insisted on their cultural right to undertake ‘bathroom whuppings’ of their naked children so as to achieve glorious communal objectives….. (Chicago Sun-Times, 10 iii).

AFRICAN GIRLS FATTENED FOR FUN

The Observer revealed that Mauritanian girls of just six years old were being fattened to obesity to prepare them for early marriage (at ten) to traditionalist Muslim men who had no taste for the wasp-waisted and emancipated girls of the West (1 iii). (Since all Muslim girls lived in total subservience to men, they did not need to prove by wasp waists that they were not already pregnant.) Girls who resisted feeding were made to eat their own vomit and had sticks inserted between their toes so that they could be easily and most painfully tortured by giving their feet a squeeze. Apparently, “[girls] are taught to sit in the lotus position, speak softly, use utensils and to emulate the exemplary lives of the Prophet Muhammad's wives. Fattening of girls is practised beyond Mauritania, in northern Mali and rural Niger -- areas conquered, along with half of present-day Spain and Portugal, by the Almoravid dynasty in the 11th century. The practice of fattening also continues in Nigeria's Calabar state and north Cameroon.”

{All this went on without a squeak of protest from the West’s ‘feminists,’ who had proved during my own trials in Edinburgh that their own first loyalty was actually to ‘anti-racism’ – they proposed to live merely by picking up occasional scraps from the Left’s table and were thus strictly forbidden to back female liberation in any race but their own.}


EUGENICS SUPPORTED

A useful article backing eugenics by David Ashton (the Conservative Leader of Conservative Harrow County Council) appeared in the Winter issue of the Salisbury Review. It especially mentioned the modern contributions of Richard Lynn, John Glad (a retired professor of Russian at Rutgers University) and blonde Texan belle Marian van Court, it resisted reductio ad Hitlerum and it rejected the banning of eugenics in the E.U. Charter of Fundamental Human Rights (Article 3) – but it concentrated on medical problems rather than on such topics as IQ, psychopathy, race or heritability.

In Los Angeles, a clinic called The Fertility Institute began offering parents the chance to select their offspring’s physical traits (such as eye and skin colour) by ‘cosmetic medicine’ (using in vitro selection and genetic modification). Asked whether his programme would not inevitably advance to offering wanted improvements in height and intelligence, clinic director Dr Jeff Steinberg said IVF was once viewed with fear but was in 2009 “not even a cocktail party curiosity” (Sunday Telegraph, 1 iii).


SHOCK FOR RACE UNREALISTS

Any wet backers of the handy ‘anti-racist’ idea (aka cop-out) that “From the standpoint of genetics, the differences between Africans, Asians, Europeans and the members of other races are almost invisible” (Nicholas Agar, 2004, Liberal Eugenics) felt the heat as Alex Haley, the author of Roots (1976, personally 'tracing' his slave ancestry to Africa – but later admitted to have partly plagiarized work by another Black writer, Harold Courlander), was shown by DNA testing of a nephew to have had full Scottish ancestry on his father’s side (yielding the nephew a traced female distant cousin in south Wales, pretty June Jaff-Black whose Scottish parents had taken a keen interest in tracing their family’s ancestry) (BBC, 1 iii; Glasgow Herald, 1 iii).


U.K.’s MURDEROUS MULTICULTI MADNESS SHOCKS C.I.A.

As P.M. Crash Gordon – whose NuLabour government had ‚“saved the world“ from banking collapse, in his own estimation – headed across the Pond to urge Saint Osambo to engage in pious globalist rhetoric to see the P.M. through to his first UK-wide electoral test (June, 2010), it turned out that the C.I.A. was saying that it regarded Britain’s 3,000 mad Mueslis as the major threat to America, thereby agreeing with French intelligence community talk ten years ago of „Londonistan“ (Spectator, 28 ii).

{Yet American hubris would not be unconstrained for the USA’s half-a-million troops in Mueslishire had ‚solved’ Iraq only by walls and bribery, were losing to poppy growers in Afghanistan and were looking at the mad-Muslimization of Pakistan (where terrorists spectacularly attacked the Ceylonese cricket team in Lahore, aiming to cow the great American ally of 50 years into letting them get their hands on Paki nuclear weapons – they had already got one fifth of the country under Sharia law).}


JOYS OF BLACK INDEPENDENCE

Mutinous soldiers of poverty-stricken, coup-prone and cocaine-smuggling Guinea-Bissau, formerly a Portuguese colony -- gunned down the country’s fat Black besuited President Vieira as he fled from them across the grounds of his presidential home – they also killed the chief of G-B’s armed forces for good measure (Guardian, 2 iii).


JOYS OF BLACK INTEGRATION

After two hundred years of France insisting on, and islanders mainly welcoming ‚integration’ with mainland France, the Black inhabitants of Guadeloupe and kindred ex-slave départments continued (see above) two months of strikes and one month of roadblocks and violence, shutting down all shops, schools and petrol stations and leading the hundreds of French police despatched there to feel they were in a guerrilla war situation (Council on Hemispheric Affairs, 2 iii). President Sarkozy had broken his country’s National Front party by promising he would himself get tough on, or otherwise suppress racial unrest; but he had been distracted by marriage to a glamorous pop singer and looked increasing embattled as huge riots ooops protests loomed in Paris on March 19th over the Clinton- and Bush-spawned MultiCulti Credit Crunch. Four French police were slightly injured in Martinique and mobs closed shops in Reunion.


IQ BEST PREDICTOR OF ADULT SUCCESS

Researchers at the universities of Essex and Nurenberg used a study begun in America with children of the 1950s to show that IQ and length of education were the best predictors of adult lifetime earnings, though popularity at school (also related to IQ) also served as a predictor. By contrast, parental wealth mattered little (Daily Telegraph, 2 iii).


COLOUR-BLIND, IQ-BLIND, PEOPLE-BLIND GUMMINT RUNS FOR COMMITTEE COVER

Having scrapped the grammar schools, having ruined the comprehensive schools with non-streaming and discipline problems, having forbidden any remaining successful state schools to select pupils in any way and even to collect any information (e.g. on children’s hobbies) that might allow selection, and having encouraged oversubscribed schools to select pupils by lottery, NuLabour’s fat-faced smoothy English ‚Education’ Secretary, Ed Ballsup (co-creator with Clinton, Bush and Brown of the U.K.’s multiculticreditcrunch), felt a twinge of guilt at this abandonment of reason and evidence and said he would begin investigations by well-fed Labour quangocrats to ensure admissions lotteries were only used only under cover of sufficient verbiage to put journalists off the scent of NuLabour’s rampaging egalitarianism.


OSAMBO CHEATED?

The story (see e.g. October, 2008) of America’s Black president having no proper title because he was born in Kenya surfaced at last in the Daily Telegraph (3 iii) – along with the amusing extra that Obarmy’s father, a highly placed diplomat in pre-independence Kenya, might actually have taken British nationality. Osambo’s vast and expensive legal efforts to resist producing a full birth certificate were detailed at World Net Daily (3 iii) – which had collected 300,000 signatures demanding production of the birth certificate (and other documents from his college days which Osambo had also insisted on concealing).


MULTICULTICRUNCH?

A leading article in the Times (3 iii) backed the view that ’subprime’ lending (to Blacks and Hispanics) was the major origin of the credit crunch/crash, saying “The US subprime mortgage sector would have toppled the Western financial system in the absence of taxpayer support.“

Visiting Washington hoping to be showered with Osambo gold-dust, P.M. Crash Gordon drew a diplomatic veil over his previously often-voiced opinion that the crunch/recession/depression ‚had begun in America.’ And MSM in the USA and Britain never mentioned the words ’black’ and ’crunch’ in the same article. By contrast, America’s (‚racist,’ ‚anti-gay,’ ‚anti-Semitic’ etc.) Council for Conservative Citizens provided video of Osambo, Freddie Mae and a Clinton aide positively boasting about how they had forced banks into the multiculti subprime lending to ethnic minorities that had fatally begun the Western house price inflation that triggered yet more borrowing as first-time buyers did not want to be ‚left behind’: See here.


’BRITISH JOBS FOR BRITISH WORKERS’

After hopelessly confused Supreme Leader Brown rowed back from his healthily nationalistic but illegal claim that he would protect ’British jobs,’ preferring to devote himself to ‚globalization’ as his Washington visit loomed (and the G20 economic summit in London), Labour reformer Frank Field M.P. took up the challenge. Field argued in the Telegraph (6 iii) that Britain, as its economic crisis mounted (with the Government and Opposition agreeing to resort to the printing presses – euphemistically to ’quantitative easing’ [a financial ‚laxative,’ supposedly]), needed to slam the door on further immigrant labour pro tem. – in particular cancelling the 150K work permits that were due to be issued to E.U. workers in 2009. Even the New Socialist (iii) came somewhere near to deploring the “social dumping“ in Britain of cheap foreign labour {and of course votes for Labour – which was why Blair and Brown had backed the influx}.


THE TRUTH SHALL MAKE YOU FREE

In a fine tribute to Mrs Thatcher’s mentor, Sir Keith Joseph, Daily Mail columnist Peter Oborne argued that Britain needed to demolish postmodern government, with its stress on presentation, and to revert to a British respect for facts and reality (Spectator, 4 iii). – He omitted to say, however, that Sir Keith’s long-term ‘mentoring status’ owed much to the realism he had shown bravely and publicly in his 1975 Preston speech when he had advocated eugenics (in particular, free distribution of The Pill to less educated girls…. (He did enjoy ministerial status for a while, at Education, but – not being a psychologist appreciating the g factor – could not work out how to oppose the already massive domination of his Department by the forces of the barking egalitarian left.)


ENVIRONMENTALUNACY ABOUT IQ EXPOSED – AGAIN

After a French seven-year-old was discovered (in rural Aveyron) to have been imprisoned for years by his construction worker father in a darkened, locked and shuttered room on a urine-soaked mattress, a judicial source said (Times, 7 iii): “He seems bright enough, though he’s never had any education and he’s way behind in his ability to speak and communicate. He also has obvious nutritional deficiencies.” {Cf. ENVIRONMENTALUNACY EXPOSED, 26 ii, below.}

EDUCATION REALISM

As the famously ignorant and vulgar slobette Jade Goody (esp. famous for her ‘Big Brother House’ ‘racist’ taunting of beauteous Indian actress Shilpa Shetty as a “Papadum”) prepared to die of a fast-acting cancer in a blaze of guilty media publicity, she revealed what life had taught her. “I may be ignorant, but my sons won’t be,” she said – referring to how her celebrity-acquired wealth would be used to save her kids from Labour Britain’s dumbed-down, ‘comprehensively ignorant’ state-school system and ‘send them private.’


NULABOUR NONCENCE EXPOSED

After twelve years of NuLabour hounding paedophile choirmasters, tennis coaches, magicians, soccer stars, computer geeks, investment bankers, mountaineers, TV dieticians, Romanies and kindred ‘nonces,’ it turned out that a trim and leggy 15-year-old girl in Newcastle (the daughter of an immigrant mother from Eastern Europe) had been able to earn £84K in just two months as a high-class hooker servicing the needs of Geordies for chicken sex – the case came to light when a teacher happened to notice the girl’s handbag contained a generous supply of condoms and the address of her pimp and his ‘escort agency’ (Sun, 26 ii – no names or pictures supplied ‘for legal reasons’ lest the idea should catch on yet further). Police confiscated the lass’s cash as being ‘obtained from crime,’ and doomed her future – which would surely have been bright for such a hot and desirable girl if only the law had allowed her to find a husband.

NULABOUR (surely terminal) FINANCIAL INCOMPETENCE EXPOSED

It transpired that, as Labour had 70% nationalized the Royal Bank of Scotland in October last year, thus saving that institution from sinking with all hands (it had made in 2008 a £25B loss – the biggest annual loss in British corporate history), the bank’s ‘dynamic’ Glasgow-council-house-born supremo Sir* Fred ‘The Shred’ Goodwin, once an admired pal of P.M. Crash Gordon, had been allowed to walk away from the shipwreck, at age 50, with an annual pension income of £650K for the rest of his days.

* How the ‘Royal Bankrupt of Scotland’ remained ‘Sir’ through all this was a mystery.


ENVIRONMENTALUNACY EXPOSED

A three-year-old Russian girl was declared by doctors to be mentally and physically normal despite years of neglect by her 23-year-old single-parent alcoholic mother who had left her to be largely raised by dogs – when discovered by social workers she walked on all fours, gnawed at bones and growled at strangers (Sun, 26 ii).


OXFORD GIRL BRAINBOX VICTORIOUS AND ESTEEMED

Intelligence got a largely good press as bespectacled Gail Trimble, 26, of the tiny Corpus Christi College (where the mighty race realist William McDougall had once held a lectureship – prior to his World War I service), knocked the spots off Manchester University in TV’s ‘University Challenge’ competition – attracting two million viewers more than normal in the process (Daily Mail, 26 ii). (However, academia-headed Gail would not divulge the encouraging IQ assessment which had been made of her at age nine; nor would she strip off for the lads magazine Nuts. Gail had got engaged on St Valentine’s Day to her 27-year-old boyfriend, trainee solicitor Tom West, the son of a vicar.)

{Sadly, Corpus was subsequently deprived of their title by the BBC because one of Gail’s team-mates, Sam Kay, had actually left Corpus before some of the later episodes of U.Challenge were filmed. But Manchester gamely said it made no claim to the title, regarding itself as fully and fairly beaten in an enjoyable competition. Kay had intended to continue at Corpus but his would-be supervisor had been unsuccessful in getting funding for a D.Phil. place for him. Kay, 22, said he had honestly believed he was eligible as he had told his course dates to the BBC when applying to take part in the quiz…. Corpus had won by 275-190.}


JOYS OF DIVERSITY

Despite both groups being Muslim, Afghani and Somalian youths committed themselves to “race gang war” (probably over the drugs they peddled) on the streets of London – resulting in two Somali boys being knifed to death in one week alone (Daily Mail, 21 ii).


BOY WRITER SAVED BY IQ DIES

Ireland’s tribute to the importance of IQ, Christy Nolan, who suffered gross cerebral palsy but, identified by intelligence tests as capable of normal schooling, became a celebrated writer despite lack of normal ‘interaction with the environment’ (cf. the equally ‘basket case’ but high-IQ young poet, Davoren Hanna – detailed in Chapter 3 of The g Factor), died amidst many tributes at age 43 (Economist, 26 ii).


Nature NULLIFIED

The tired IQ-bashing of ‚anti-racist’ Steves Rose and Ceci in unlucky-for-some Nature (Friday, 13 ii) was pretty fully answered by ‚Razib’ and correspondents at Gene Expression and AmRen – though none felt it worth quoting The g Factor….


FREEDOM DEFENDED

A fine denunciation of Britain’s withdrawal of freedom from its citizens under NuLabour was provided by famous children’s author Philip Pullman (Times, 27 ii) – though he could not bring himself actually to mention political correctness, ‚anti-racism,’ paedohysteria or yag bullying....

And the heroic Geert Wilders (under police guard for four years, facing prosecution in Holland for his film ‚Fitna’ and unceremoniously denied a visit to the House of Lords and thrown out of Britain by Home Secretary Jackboots Spliff) was able to talk in New York, to attract 30K signatures to his internet petition and to be talked of as a future prime minister in a coalition to save the Netherlands for freedom (AmRen, 27 ii).

And top actor Clint Eastwood, 78, put in his two penn’orth, pining for the days when ethnic jokes could be told {and not just against Whites....} (Daily Mail, 26 ii).

FREE SPEECH, R.I.P.

As British immigration wallahs at Heathrow bundled the defiant blond Koran-basher Geert Wilders* (see 11 ii) on to the first plane back to Amsterdam, Wilders achieved top-story media coverage (e.g. 15 minutes on BBC News 24) which made him the first Dutch politician Brits had ever heard of and gave worldwide publicity to his on-the-face-of-it reasonable claim that "Gordon Brown is the biggest coward in Europe" (Politics.co.uk, 12 ii). Index on Censorship specially went out of its standard liberal-left way to condemn the illiberalism of prominent Liberal Democrat Geoff Huhne who had sided with the ban on Wilders (12 ii).

Understandably, Jerusalem Newswire talked of the "cowardly British" and of "once-Christian, once-great Britain" (12 ii). Shamefully, only 21 peers turned up to show solidarity with the heir to the murdered anti-Islamofascists Pim Fortuyn and Theo van Gogh by attending the showing of Wilders' film in the House of Lords (Daily Mirror, 12 ii). In 2008, Wilders had been voted `the most effective politician in the Netherlands.' He was known - though this was seldom admitted by Britain's media - to be a libertarian who admired Mrs Thatcher and scorned the standard `right-wing'/nationalist parties of Europe. The International Free Press Society condemned HMG's "authoritarian" ban unequivocally, especially pointing out that it made a nonsense of Europe's supposed policy of `open borders' (12 ii). The Danish Government also condemned HMG and urged politicians not to behave in such an unChurchillian "cowardly and subjugated fashion" (12 ii); and HMG was comprehensively rubbished as both illiberal and inconsistent by the Sun's John Gaunt (13 ii).

{This was not the first time Mr Brown had been accused of cowardice. He had become known as `Bottler Brown' in 2008 when he would not risk calling a General Election (before the economic recession began). Strange, for he was the author of a book on courage! How glad he would have been to turn to the usually unobliging Torygraph to find a leader blaming Home Secretary Miss Jackboots Spliff and urging Brown simply to sack her (12 ii).}

* The Times [London] had pointed out: "Mr Wilders, the leader of the Dutch Freedom Party, has been under 24-hour police protection in the Netherlands since 2004. He faces prosecution for incitement to hatred and discrimination based on the content of `Fitna' (an Arabic term meaning "disagreement and division among people") and his calls for the Koran to be banned under a Dutch law which bans Mein Kampf."


DARWIN AS THEIST AND RACE REALIST

In all the haggling over Charles Darwin around the bicentenary of his birth (and the 150th anniversary of The Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or The Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life), some of the wisest words were those of Telegraph reviewer, historian Jim Endersby (U. Sussex, previously a fellow of Darwin College, Cambridge) (8 ii).

Consider the famous final sentence of the Origin. In the first edition, it read: "There is grandeur in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed into a few forms or into one." The word `breathed' was already reminiscent of the book of Genesis, but in the second edition (published a few months later) Darwin amended the sentence to read: ".. originally breathed by the Creator into a few forms.." And he kept the words "by the Creator" in all the later editions. ..the clergyman Charles Kingsley (of Water Babies fame) wrote to Darwin to tell him that evolution seemed "just as noble a conception of Deity" as that given in scripture.

..[Adrian Desmond and James Moore, in their Darwin's Sacred Cause: Race Slavery and the Quest for Human Origins], argue convincingly that Darwin's horror of slavery was one motivation behind his determination to show that humans were indeed a single species [as the Bible envisaged] and their varieties could be explained by his other evolutionary theory, sexual selection. In setting out to prove that Darwin's science had a moral core, they are [however] perhaps a little too ready to downplay Darwin's own racism.. For Darwin, the superiority of white people to black ones (and of men to women) was simply one of the scientific facts his theory needed to explain; it was a common assumption of the times.

RACE REALISM DAWNS

Ten thousand White sun-worshipping holidaymakers cancelled their vacations in the French colonies of Guadeloupe and Martinique (in the Caribbean) as extensive Black rioting (after weeks of striking) broke out in pursuit of largesse from the islands' White property owners or the French Government (which promptly came up with Danegeld of 500M pounds) (Daily Mail, 19 ii; Daily Telegraph, 20 ii). France was obliged to send 300 police (all White) to quell the riots; but police had difficulty smashing through roadblocks under fire to get tourists to the Guadeloupe airport and advised tourists to stay in their hotels and hope for luck. Parisian media described the situation as one of civil war.

{Meanwhile, Kenya's Blacks were in a state of excitement that US President OSambo, who was probably born in Kenya, would soon be admitting them to the USA in impressive numbers, allowing them to escape the horrors of Black rule (crime, corruption and general inefficiency) - as was also increasingly the ambition of South Africa's Blacks (AmRen, 20 ii). At the same time, Zimbabwe's racist followers of Dictator Mugabe aimed to complete the expropriation of White property and to celebrate in champagne and caviare.}


TEENS ADAPT A LITTLE TO WELFARISM AND WORKLESSNESS

Under-16 girls in Eastbourne and Liverpool showed their reaction to Britain's years of reckless welfarism, multicultural `subprime' lending and final pennilessness by producing babies (twin boys in the Liverpool case) - though sadly to underage `fathers' rather than to any of Britain's fifty-year-old demoralized men in pubs, `banks' and `universities' who, faced with a nubile weenie gagging for it, would have been able to provide more serious support and guidance (Sun, 21 ii) than the semi-literate products of Labour's comprehensive schools. Such and similar efforts had led England to top the charts for births to under-18s in Europe, with 2% of such teenage girls giving birth annually (and another 2% having abortions that could largely have been avoided if girls had more confidence in the experience and earning power of the father).


MANIFEST MARCHING MORONS

A London correspondent supplied a succinct analysis of NuLabour (and old Major) treachery to the young in higher `education':

As I have pointed out many times before, the absurd increase in undergraduate numbers is simply a trick by government to disguise unemployment amongst the young, as is the plan to make all children remain in education or training until they are 18.

A cruel trick has been played on those who have taken degrees since the abolition of grants and the imposition of tuition fees. They have been told that the average degree was worth 450k pounds in additional pay over a liftime's work (the 450 was later reduced to 150k) when the calculation of the 450k was made on earnings when graduates were scarce.

Once they became numerous the laws of supply and demand made a degree worth less and less. At the same time degrees were devalued by both the need to reduce the quality of degrees generally to accommodate the less able (a problem exacerbated by the need to reduce the difficulty of school exams) and by the introduction of degrees of dubious quality such as media studies and tourism.

The conversion of the polytechnics into universities completed the disaster by making the quality of degrees vary so widely throughout the British higher
education system as to make any meaningful comparison from one university to another virtually impossible.

EUROPEAN FREE SPEECH TO END IN STYLE

After two weeks of being neglected by Britain's media, Holland's heroic anti-Islamofascist parliamentarian Geert Wilders, leader of the Dutch Freedom & Democracy Party, announced he would attempt to come to Westminster on 12th February for a showing of his film `Fitna' (illustrating Islamic hostility and violence to non-Muslims) at the House of Lords being arranged by the peers Malcolm Pearson and Caroline Cox* (Reuters, 11 ii).

Banned from Britain by fat Home Secretary Jacqui Smith (herself in trouble over greedy expense claims) and facing prosecution in the Netherlands, Wilders looked all set to create a memorable storm - reminding Edinburghians at least of the 16 month battle which I gave E.LU., the Anti-Nazi League and PeeCee in general in 1996/7.

For his struggle, Wilders (even though he probably gone a little far in wanting the Koran banned) found himself supported by the Telegraph's Daniel Hannan (11 ii), gay leader Peter Tatchell (11 ii - though Tatchell was chiefly cross that Smith had not banned a violently anti-yag Jamaican reggae music group), Europe News (11 ii - `No Tolerance for Intolerance'), Index on Censorship (11ii) and the 28,000 people (including myself) who signed the pro-Wilders online petition.

* Under whose chairmanship I worked for several years on the Council for National Academic Awards - an attractive and great lady!


BRITAIN'S ROLE IN THE AMERICAN DREAM (aka SUBPRIME MULTICULTURALISM)

A London correspondent writes:

A truly disgusting event took place in Parliament on 10 February when past executive directors of the RBS [Royal Bank of Scotland] and the HBOS [Halifax / Bank of Scotland] appeared before the House of Commons Treasury Select Committee. Sir Fred Goodwinformebutnottheenglishtaxpayer and Sir Tom McPillock (both ex-RBS) shamelessly attempted to pretend that the scandal of the banking shysterism was "nae tur dae wi' me. Naebudy kenned whit wuz happening", while Andy Horbytrainloadsamoney and Lord Stevenson of Conandsham (both ex-HBOS) feigned innocence with "It was nothing to do with me, old chap. Like everyone else in banking I hadn't a clue what was going on."

The best moment came when each of the four directors on show was asked to detail their formal banking qualifications. All four had to admit that they had none.


EUGENICS RESPEC'

It emerged that, showing unusual respect for eugenic principles, South Africa's ANC leaders were following the advice of William McDougall and myself and practising polygamy and babe-bagging on an industrial scale (National Post [Toronto], 6 ii, R. W. Johnson) - so busy, indeed, that they had not got round to changing South Africa's laws to legalize their merry ways.

In Virginia, USA, bull-necked Black police chief William Fuller was charged, after a `sting' operation, with soliciting sex by computer with a correspondent whom he took to be a 14-year-old girl.


SCHOOL STREAMING SUPPORTED

The Government was giving far too little attention to `prioritizing' gifted and talented children said Sir Cyril Taylor, the architect of NuLabour's (largely useless) `academies' programme, in a surprise attack on Labour leftwingers and loony LEA-employed educationists who had frustrated his plans (Daily Telegraph, 9 ii).

EMPIRE STRIKES BACK



The students of Emmanuel College, Cambridge, announced that their annual ball, in June, would have a British Empire theme and especially encourage fancy dress outfits harking back to the year 1899. Needless to say, socialist workers and kindred pampered misfits expressed outrage (Daily Telegraph, 10 ii).

`GASTRONOMIC RACISM'

While tens of thousands of British workers in the energy industry were told by HMG that the laws of the E.U. required complete mobility of labour and thus allowed firms to pick the cheapest workers, e.g. from Portugal, if they wished, Italian towns and the city of Milan, in the control of the centre-right, seemed to have little difficulty banning kebabs and kindred `ethnic' food - except of course being (pretty fairly) labelled as engaging in `culinary ethnic cleansing' and facing philosophical and legal arguments after which foods were `ethnic' (apparently pasta was originally introduced by Marco Polo from China..) (Times, 31 i).

{Italy had for several years been moving `right' in response to floods of immigrants from North Africa and rapes by Romanian gypsies - encouraged to leave Romania by that country's impressive noble elite, young members of which had once helped create twenty years ago in my Edinburgh flat one of the most dazzlingly intellectual parties I ever threw..}


HOLY WAR TECHNIQUES

While President Osambo laboured to end interrogation of Muesli fighters by `waterboarding' (spraying faces with water), though could not see a way to end `rendition' (snatching suspects and sending them for interrogation in Romania), the Sun revealed how Mueslis treated each other: repeatedly raping youngsters of both sexes till they were so ashamed that becoming a suicide bomber seemed preferable to sodomization (4 ii).


ECONOMIC GROWTH LINKED TO NATIONAL IQ

It was learned that the heroic Leipzig scholar, Volkmar Weiss, who once stood up to the Stasi, had published new calculations showing that national economic growth was substantially related to adolescent levels of IQ (as assessed in the OECD's Programme for International Student Assessment*). In particular, he found the growth of gross domestic product per capita can be derived as a linear function of the percentage of people with an IQ above 105 and its underlying frequency of a hypothetical major gene of intelligence (Mankind Quarterly 49, 129-164).

Volkmar's paper concluded: "There are three types of men (Weiss and Weiss, 2003): Men (with IQ above 123), who invent machines, men (with IQ above 104), who repair machines, and men, who use machines. In a country where there are not enough men to construct and to repair a bridge, sooner or later traffic by railroad will break down (Malloy, 2008). Now, for example, Angola needs Chinese engineers to repair railroads and bridges."

* PISA assesses how far students near the end of compulsory education have acquired some of the knowledge and skills that are essential for full participation in society. In all cycles, the domains of reading, mathematical and scientific literacy are covered not merely in terms of mastery of the school curriculum, but in terms of important knowledge and skills needed in adult life.


FREE SPEECH DEFENDED

As PeeCee reached new heights, top Times columnist Matthew Parris denounced the BBC as "illogical" for sacking* Carol Thatcher (Lady Thatcher's daughter) for using the term `golliwog'** over drinks in a good-humoured private conversation (referring to a gifted young French mixed-race tennis player having notoriously wild hair) (Guardian, 4 ii; BBC News 24, 4 ii); and, as the Pope, responding to criticism from Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel, demanded a traditionalist bishop `unequivocally recant' his reported Holocaust denial, the Pope's brother (himself a priest) stepped forward to denounce Ms Merkel as "irrational" (Times, 4 ii).

The Telegraph's Charles Moore joined in 5 ii in Carol Thatcher's defence, especially accusing the BBC of showing contempt for its licence fee payers and proposing the setting up of a Golliwog Club. Conservative peer Lord Tebbit (who had served under Carol's mother) and actor Andrew Sachs (who had been gratuitously insulted on air by the BBC's 6Mp.a.-earning lewd star turn Jonathan Ross) also weighed in to accuse the BBC of over-reaction (Sky News, 5 ii). Within a day, the BBC said it had received 2,245 phone calls criticizing its decision (and 60 supporting it) (Guardian, 5 ii). Melanie Phillips used her Mail column 5 ii to claim Britain had become a "Stasi State" governed by a politically correct elite whose citizens are too scared to utter even in private what they might think twice about saying in public.

Thatcher, 55, had used the g------- word twice (once calling the Frenchie a "half-golliwog"), insisting before her `shocked' interlocutors that it was not racist; tempers had then flared, with obese leftist comedienne Jo Brand storming out. She had also called the French tennis player, quite correctly, a "half-golliwog" - thereby apparently upsetting the player's mother (Times, 6 ii). But support for her poured into the BBC at a rate of 300-1 (BBC, 6 ii);

London's mayor Boris Johnson insisted that sacking for private insensitivity was far too severe; in the Mail, Edward Heathcoat-Amory pointed to Carol's real failure, that she had not conceded to the BBC's demand that she essentially admit `racism' (6 ii); and at the Telegraph, Carol was stoutly defended by columnist George Pitcher (who like Melanie Phillips warned of Britain becoming a Stasi State), by 6 ii blogger Gerald Warner (who pointed out that ritual humiliation of dissidents had been the favourite method of Mao's Cultural Revolution), in a leader (which called the BBC sanctimonious, smug and sinister, and in letters which ran 8-1 in Carol's favour (and one complained expressly of the `sneaky' behaviour of reporting to the Beeb's high heidjuns an off-screen conversation with drinks served [in `the Green Room,' said cognoscenti] which all participants understood to involve privacy). Carol's twin brother, Mark, defended her - which was not entirely predictable; and Labour loyalists like lickle Hazel Blears denounced her - as was predictable.

Adding to the Beeb's anxiety that an over-the-top display of its peecee Stalinism could in some circumstances lose it its treasured compulsory licence fee (140 pounds annually for every television set in the U.K.), macho Beeb broadcaster Jeremy Clarkson chose the moment to call Britain's "lying" Prime Minister publicly "a one-eyed Scottish idiot," drawing a demand for his dismissal for such handicapism and racism from the Mirror's Anna Smith (6 ii) - but he apologized swiftly before the Beeb's controllers got to him, and instant grovelling is what peecee hysterics chiefly demand (as in my own case in 1996 with E.LU.)

At American Renaissance, Kenelm Digby remarked (5 ii): "Of course, this is the same BBC which broadcast `The Black and White Minstrel Show' (its highest rated show ever), continuously from 1958 to 1978."

* Strictly, they dropped her only from one show; but whether the could subsequently be used on other shows seemed most doubtful.

** Golliwogs (`golly rag dolls') had been on sale at the Queen's gift shop on her Sandringham estate - till withdrawn amidst the latest BBC-led hysteria (Sun, 5 ii).


MONGOLISM AND HYPERACTIVITY NO JOKE

The strains of bringing up a Down's Syndrome child, even with the blessing of the ludicrous British welfare state which encouraged such idealistic endeavours, were cruelly illustrated as a Liverpool bus driver, Robert Bailey, 46, went beserk and stabbed his 39-year-old legal secretary wife of nineteen years to death before causing 20K pounds damage to a neighbour's home and attempting suicide by stabbing himself (Sun, 5 ii; Globe Wirral, 5 ii).

Bailey, who had suffered hyperactivity, had been in treatment for depression but had taken a few days off work because of panic attacks and tried to come off his medication. He claimed to have no recall of murdering his wife - which he nevertheless admitted. He had always been jealous of the attention his wife gave to the couple's seven-year-old Mongol daughter and had had a nervous breakdown in 2006. But Britain's media continued to fail to carry news of Dutch anti-Islamofascist hero Geert Wilders being disinvited by the House of Lords (see January or Brussels Journal, 26 i). This neglect was strange, as was the House of Lords bowing to Lord Ahmed's threats to bring 10K mad Mueslis to besiege Parliament, for the Labour peer was a most newsworthy figure: on 3 ii the Times announced he was awaiting sentence for dangerous driving, having killed a man while driving at 60m.p.h. and simultaneously texting.



WHAT ABOUT THE WORKERS?!

While UK Prime Minister Crash Gordon - with his tie button showing, his mobile phone interrupting him,* dandruff on his suit collar and his out-of-control chin retracting busily as usual - wallowed at Davos in the praises of semi-literate UN Secretary General Wanky Loon for his "dynamic" and "wise" global leadership in the global crisis that he had spent twelve years failing to anticipate from his global perspective in Downing Street, thousands of British energy workers (e.g. in Lincolnshire, Teesside, Cardiff, Swansea, Carrickfergus, Glasgow and Edinburgh) downed tools to ask why so many British jobs were being given to foreigners (in particular, Italians and Portuguese).

The Labour MP for Edinburgh South, Nigel Griffiths, a former construction minister (and student of mine at E.LU.), said he would launch an inquiry to see if the Italian contractor involved in the dispute had broken European law by excluding British workers. The main trade union involved, `Unite,' battled it out with the BNP as to whether the strikes and protests by oil refinery workers were or were not `racist' in nature - Unite insisting race and nationality were not issues.

{Grumpy Gordon's promise of "British Jobs for British Workers" had in fact been entirely illegal under E.U. free-trade laws.}

As the wildcat strikes continued in snowy Britain with no solution in sight, the first serious grumbles emerged that Crash Gordon's self-congratulatory belief that he had "saved the world, er, saved the banks" might be seriously mistaken. In the Financial Times (3 ii), top financial historian Niall Ferguson (of Glasgow, Oxford and Harvard) called for `restructuring' of the banks - in effect, temporary nationalization; and Shadow Chancellor George Osborne made the reasonable-sounding point that the banks should never again be allowed to get so big (Daily Telegraph, 3 ii).

After 55-year pilot Chesley B. `Sully' Sullenberger III saved 155 lives by swiftly bringing down his stricken aircraft safely on to the Hudson River after a flock of Canadian geese had got sucked into the plane's engines, it turned out he had always been a star pupil at his Texas school, typically getting 140+ on IQ-type tests.

{By contrast, the villainous Bernard Madoff, who had `made off' with $50B (often from his fellow Jews - but including $5B from the Royal Bank of Scotland*) in a Ponzi-type fraud, had been a singularly mediocre schoolboy.}

* As this `bank' declared 28B pound losses in 2008 -- the largest corporate annual losses in British history -- it transpired it had been run by a man called `Fred' who had grown up in a Glasgow council house. As Scotland prepared to celebrate (on 25th January) the 250th anniversary of its great lyricist, beloved bard and presumed egalitarian, Robert Burns, and to use his name in `Homecoming' ceremonies designed to bring in US dollars and to whip up votes for the SNP's ideal of independence, a Scots historian, Michael Fry (author of The Union), pointed out to Burns' often lib-leftist admirers, that Rabbie had been "a drunken, misogynistic, racist philanderer" [fathering 12 children, several of them out of wedlock] (Times, 4 i, `Drunken, racist Burns is hardly a role model'); and St Andrews U. professor of Scottish literature, Robert Crawford, particularly maintained that Bobby had been quite content to consider going to work as a slave driver in the Caribbean (The Journal [Edinburgh], 14 i).


CURSE OF DUBYA

Liberal U.S. academics, whose hearts were 100% pinned on Saint Obamo, must have sat slack-jawed in front of their TVs as OSambo, watched by mega-millions (especially of misty-eyed young Black wymmin and their grandpas) in Washington and worldwide, mangled some of the earliest words of the Presidential Oath - creating a split infinitive in the process (".to faithfully execute.").* Hearts of the grammar-schooled were in mouths as the presiding official (`Chief Justice') went on foolishly to offer for recitation "So help you God" - but OSambo did master this and came back correctly with "So help me God."

Otherwise, the hysterically anticipated Inauguration was uneventful, with shivering crowds entirely uninspired by OSambo's windy platitudes about `values' - which Rev. Dubya himself would have been quite happy to recite.** (British ears, however, were surprised and amused - not least, surely, in Buck House -- to hear a Negro spiritual sung by a fat Black lady to the tune of the U.K.'s `God Save The Queen.' Brits and probably others pondered whether Barry and his Obamalot court knew, when they repeatedly mentioned his being America's 44th President, that a billion people in China believe `4' an unlucky number, and `44' thus doubly so.

Evidently NuLabour `targets' for the Army - as for schools, hospitals, immigration and welfare - had proved as unattainable as those of the old Soviet Union.

New research from a Cambridge University team (under Professor Simon Boring Cohen, who had come in the 1990's to see in autistic children the low affectothymia identified by Raymond Cattell in the 1950s) linked the masculinized practicality and social insensitivity of autists to higher levels of testosterone in the amniotic fluid of their pregnant mothers - meaning it would soon be possible to make intra-uterine diagnoses and offer unhappy parents abortion (Guardian, 12 i).

RING FINGER RAIDERS OOOPS TRADERS

Advancing the links made by Glenn Wilson, myself and John Manning (see above) of ring finger length (relative to index finger length) to masculinity, Cambridge University research fellow John Coates reported a .45 correlation between RFL and trading profits over a 20-month period among 44 high-frequency stock market traders (Independent, 13 i; Financial Times, 13 i).

Coates was happy to go along with Manning's idea that higher RFL was caused by higher levels of foetal testosterone - but RFL was also 70% heritable and there was a substantial racial difference, with Chinese and Blacks outscoring the more `civilized' and `feminized' Westerners. The Financial Times (13 i) pictured the short ring fingers of P.M. Crash Gordon and Daft `Conservative' Dave - and the impressively longer ring finger of Saint Barry Obama (due to take over from Brown on 20 i the job of `saving the world').

Relatively short ring fingers were also noticeable on mother-of-four Cherie Blair, Jennifer Lopez, Angelina Jolie and Catherine Zeta-Jones; whereas Brad Pitt and George Clooney had long ones.. The United States Supreme Court said it would take on a reverse discrimination lawsuit over New Haven's decision to scrap a promotion exam because too few minorities passed it. Happy little Botswana remained apparently unbound by U.N. refugee conventions, human rights acts etc. and managed to throw out 5K Zimbabwean asylum seekers in a single week (AmRen, 24 xii 2008).


IQ THE PREDICTOR

Scots lads of higher IQ were slightly more likely to die during World War II service than were there lower-IQ compatriots (New Scientist, 19 xii). This was presumably because of their being more often selected for leadership roles in an army with a tradition of `leading from the front.' It was not because of any notable excess of bravery or patriotism, since higher-IQ lads were more likely to avoid military service altogether.


PROPHET OF MULTICULTIDOOM DIES VINDICATED

Top American political scientist Samuel P. Huntington, author in 1996 of The Clash of Civilizations, died at 81, leaving his main thesis intact as Israeli forces and the Muslim fanatics of Hamas pounded away at each other so fiercely as possibly even to rouse the moguls of Hollywood to recognize that their support for multiculturalism and third-world immigration had been a ghastly mistake (Reuters, 29 xii).

CHRISTMAS BOASTNOTE

Just to wish all `IQ & PC' readers a Very Merry Christmas with whatever help from Plymouth gin* and newly discovered and highly recommended Old Pulteney Scotch whisky!

Sadly, 2008 was a year of steady gains for PeeCee** (culminating in Edinburgh City Council feeling unable to put up a Christmas tree or indeed use any red or green colours at all in its ghostly `Winterval' `decorations' on Clerk Street) and little conspicuous progress for IQ (itself newly under attack from Jesuits - see 19 xi).

However, things at home were not so bad, with Shiou-yun having an art history book (Artists' Self-Portraits) published in China (and two more in the pipeline to publication) and her theses on Dali and Dowager Empress Cixi made available via Amazon Books; my old age pension and bus pass kicked in, my review of the Moscow-published Raciology and the London-published The Finger Book were put up on the net, and I got mentions in the Daily Torygraph and bright young NY journo Matt Kennard's The Comment Factory ; and Germany provided good entertainment with its market by the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh (with bratwurst, Gluehwein and Nuremberg cake) and its Finance Minister's condemnation of UK PM Crash Gordon's "crass Keynesianism" - reminding people of how nice the world could have been if Britain had linked up with Germany, instead of France, in 1870.

The New Year will see Shiou off for a month-long visit to her mother and artist friends in Taipei; and Professor Eric Barendt (the UK's expert on `academic freedom,' based at King's College, London) will produce his analysis of the Brand Affair - remarking that Edinburgh LUniversity has, in its shame, shredded all documentary details of the case, including the records and reports of its own Tribunal and judicially adjudicated Appeal (which had cost it 100K pounds). Meanwhile, with psychologist John Ray's excellent help, I will continue to monitor in this column such occasional sallies as the welfare-wrecked West may make in the direction of race realism and national liberalism.

* 2008 brought a special new discovery, called `Lucky Jim,' from master boozer Kingsley Amis himself: mix 1 part extra dry vermouth with 15 parts gin, pour on copious ice and garnish with cucumber - most fortifying!

** For the top ten insults to Christians, conservatives and race realists on American campuses in 2008, see Washington Times, 15 xii. But, in a novel twist, posh top BBC broadcaster Edward Stourton published a book that was critical of PeeCee (Independent, 14 xi) only to find himself sacked when it transpired that his book had claimed Britain's `national treasure,' the late and venerated Queen Mother, to be "a ghastly old bigot" who was prone to jest about `Huns, Wops and Dagoes.'

More serious suppression of `incorrect' speech occurred as Steve Sailer's evidence of Obama's un-Americanism and of the origins of the credit crunch in multicultural overoptimism [cf. 7 iv] were largely ignored by the media; and Simon Sheppard and Stephen Whittle (convicted of `hate speech' in England) languished in a Los Angeles jail - America's way of treating their claim for asylum.

Not surprisingly, the year ended with Muslim countries demanding United Nations members ban all criticism of religion (when they hadn't already - victimizing Brigitte Bardot and Oriana Fallaci) (AmRen, 17 xii) and Quebec announcing plans to indoctrinate its five-year-olds with PeeCee (aka Ethics and Religious Culture). Of course, there were some compensations, as detailed in this diary/blog; but such victories as the Metropolitan Police re-adopting `stop-and-search,' America resiling from multiculturalism in Baghdad by building walls (to keep Sunnis and Shi-ites from each other's throats), and the failure of paedohysterical police and tabloids in Jersey to find a single skeleton of a child victim of a kiddie-killer of any vintage received little attention.

The gains for the propaganda of PeeCee/Multiculturalism was illustrated when a survey found only 22% of Americans believed Jews ran Hollywood (down from nearly 50% in 1964): an impressive `victory of stereotyping' since in fact, as Joel Stein told the Los Angeles Times (19 xii), "Jews totally run Hollywood" - many of them homosexual, added Steve Sailer at his blog.


ENVIRONMENTOHYSTERIA REFUTED

For Christmas, the multiply raped daughter of Austrian sex fiend Papa Fritzl, having borne him six extant children during her 20-year imprisonment by him, agreed to patch up relations with her own mama so the whole family could cook and dine together - with the exception of Fritzl, himself jailed and awaiting the endless determinations of judicial and welfare experts (Sun, 24 xii).


CREDIT CRUNCH REALISM

From Steve Sailer's blog: In 2000 a U.S. finance firm sent an email to executives, as follows, "Isn't California full of Latinos? Can Latinos really pay back these giant mortgages we're handing them? If Latinos can't, then who is going to pay even more to move to a neighborhood that we just helped tip Latino? As long as we can bundle them up into CDOs, and sell them them on to some dumb European bankers, who cares if they can't pay off their mortgages?"


EXTRAVERSION REDISCOVERED

In a splendid reinvention of the wheel, Michigan geneticist Alexandra Burt [sic!] found that mildly naughty, heavier-drinking boys were more popular with peers - and carried distinctive DNA (which the newspapers couldn't be bothered to detail) (D. Torygraph, 23 xii; Canada TV, 23 xii).


JOYS OF DIVERSITY

Multicultural entertainment was provided in a Stockholm suburb on the two nights leading up to Christmas by Muslim (mainly Somali) youth setting fires and hurling rocks at firemen ooops firefighters - requiring control by a "massive " police presence (The Local, Sweden, 24 xii).


BLACK SAINT TARNISHED

Even as the deluded demacracy-mad dolts of America waited for their Multiple Obasm (though the American Dream had actually been provided already by Revs Suckmawillie and Dubya [Church of the Latter Day Morons], resulting in the house price boom and eventual credit crunch), their selected cig-addicted grey Saint Osambo President Elect himself was questioned for hours by police (by the FBI) - normally thought in Britain to be a distinctly black mark against even an MSM-venerated figure, as when Rev. Blair [soon to be ejected from Britain to become a Middle East peacemaker (presiding over 280 dead Muesli goons in Gaza on 27 xii)] had to endure investigation over 1M pound secret donations from a multiculti-enthused Britoid Jewish businessman (David Abramovich) to Labour Party funds.


WHITES LOSE IN NEW RACE REALISM

`Japanese are the tastiest; by contrast, the flesh of Whites is too strong and salty.' So tribesmen of Papua New Guinea confided to a German photographer (Bild.com [Berlin], 12 xii) who bravely travelled the island taking pictures of its Stone Age-style inhabitants. Apparently, tribesmen found the very best flesh was that of their own womenfolk. (PNG, where `paedophile' Daniel Gajdusek carried out his Nobel prizewinning research on the brain rot, called kuru, that can result from cannibalism, officially banned the practice in the 1960s; but cases of kuru were still not uncommon.)


TABLOID TRIUMPH

Britain's tabloid-fuelled paedohysteria ballooned to new heights as employed father of five Andrew Cunningham, 52, died naked at the hands of a Wandsworth (south London) mob (probably of youths) which inflicted multiple stab wounds to his face, head and genitalia because he had `groomed' boys to bring young girls to his caravan for hanky-panky and had supposedly `fondled' the two-year-old daughter of a local barmaid (Daily Express, 13 xii). (The slaughtered Cunningham's last proven crime was to have `raped' a 14-year-old girl in 2001, for which statutory offence he received a four-month jail sentence. One of his five daughters stood up for him, as did his employer and a local fish factory worker; and a floral tribute at his caravan in the lorry park where he worked said he was `the best man alive.')


MUSLIMS SPURN INTEGRATION

Shocking the socks off multicultiloons, and rejoicing the hearts of several race realists, the Muslim community of Perth, Western Oz, announced plans to build a Muslim-only housing development and recreation centre as part of a $10 million complex in the town of Rivervale (The Western Australian, 13 xii).


RACE REALIST BRAVES MEDIA

A subprime Toronto TV station, '16 x 9', got more than it bargained for when it decided on an `ambush interview' with Professor Phil Rushton as he went out to his car one snowy Canadian morning: as the station shouted questions about Phil's `racism', its reporter had a tooth broken by Phil's suitcase as he thrust himself and his microphone forward under Phil's nose - and Phil had the additional consolation of being well supported by AmRen readers (AmRen, 17 xii).


PEACE THROUGH TERRITORIALITY

Such peace, democracy and law-abidingness* as Iraq had achieved after five years of Western help (including some 4,400 American and British deaths and expenditure of $600B) were admitted in the Observer [London], 21 xii, as also in AmRen 20 xii, to be attributable to the eventual strict segregation of Baghdad's murderous SoLunnis and Shitites: "Neighbourhoods that were religiously and ethnically cleansed by the wave of violence that engulfed the city before 2007 are now fortified by row upon row of concrete blast walls."

{Not a single visual aid had been provided by MSM in 2008 as to this reverse for multicultural ideology.} {Not that the peace would last long without 30K American troops, for the SoLunnis had no oil so needed to be able to bully the Shitites.}

* The limits of Western progress in Iraq were indicated when, as a cross Muslim journalist, Muntazer al-Zaidi, hurled his shoes at Pres. Dubya during a press conference with Iraq's P.M. Lapdog al-Maliki, the journalist was immediately beaten up by police, suffering a broken arm, a cracked rib, cigarette burns and damage to his mouth (he lost a tooth) and an eye.


BLACK RULE - VISUAL AIDS

A letter from Africa-watcher R. W. Johnson detailed the horrors of Zimbabwe, where `independence hero' Robert Mugabe had killed a million of his countrymen and forced four million more to flee (London Review of Books, 22 xii). To Mugabe's charge that Britain had only given œ75M in the 1980s to help poor Blacks buy White farms, Johnson pointed out that Britain had given Kenya eight times this amount but had cut back on generosity to Zimbabwe when it turned out that purchased farms went only to Mugabe's own henchmen and `veterans' of the bloody inter-tribal fighting in Matabeleland by which Mugabe had come to power.

From the eastern Congo, Mary Riddell provided the news that two thirds of women there had been raped by their fellow Blacks and that a favourite sport of Black `soldiers' was kidnapping children, snapping their limbs so they could not wander off, and using them as sex slaves (Sunday Telegraph, 21 xii).
