MULTICULTURALISM HAS PEAKED - Spectator
Noting that in David Blunkett's new ceremony for granting UK nationality, U.K. immigrants must swear allegiance to the Queen, British law and democracy, the illustrious centre-right columnist and author, Ferdinand Mount, suggested that multiculturalism had probably come to the end of its natural life - brought to an end by a Labour Home Secretary (6 iii).
(At the same time, it was announced that the Home Office was not interested in a `Slavery Memorial Day' and had told Blacks it was time for them to forget about slavery and move on.)
GOOD NEWS - BAD NEWS FOR AMERICA
In 1992, presidential hopeful Senator John Kerry criticized affirmative racism, saying "The truth is that affirmative action has kept America thinking in racial terms." Alas, in 2004 he changed his mind: "I haave consistently opposed efforts in the Senate to undermine or eliminate affirmative action."
TRACKING AT LAST
H.M. Government announced it had built up a database of 20,000 of the country's brightest children with an eye to giving them special help aiming towards early university entrance. Apparently schools nominate (at a cost of œ15) their favourite 11-16-year-olds who are then required "to pass one of a range of tests to demonstrate their ability" (Sunday Telegraph, 7 iii). All rather mysterious - but hopefully infuriating liberal-lefties everywhere. {A re-introduction of streaming was first advocated in Britain in February, 1996, by prime-ministerial hopeful Tony Blair and by myself, in The g Factor (Wiley DePublisher).}
{In the Sunday Times (7ii) top broadcaster and columnist John Humphrys predicted that both of the U.K.'s main political parties would soon be backing `customer choice' in health and education - as long urged in McDougall NewsLetters.}
GOVERNMENT FIDDLE OF IMMIGRATION FIGURES EXPOSED
A brave civil servant, Steve Moxon, working in the Immigration Service, went to the Sunday Times to show the paper how a stream of immigrants was being admitted largely unscrutinized into Britain - so there would not be so many after the magic date of May 1st when millions of new European Union citizens became eligible to visit Britain and seek work (7 vii, pp. 1 [`Lid blown on migrant cover-up'], 14-15; Scotland on Sunday, 7 iii). Civil servants were expressly told not to discuss or reveal the new policy so as not to excite Britain's tabloid newspapers. A female government minister admitted that thousands of applicants had been let in without scrutiny but said that civil servants had thought up the deceptive wheeze for themselves and she had not been told.
NATIONALIST BOOST
The cause of nationalism appeared to be rejuvenated in Austria's southern Carinthia province where Jorg Haider's `far-right' Freedom Party picked up 42% of votes in the presidential election compared to only 38% for the social democrats (BBC, 8 iii). Apparently Haider had stressed his support for tax cuts and quite a few Conservatives had switched to vote for him. His most recent outrage had been to visit Baghdad and support Madman Insane.
{Greece also moved to the right in elections which easily ended the ten-year rule of socialist George Papandreou. And in New Zealand the National Party had moved ahead of Labour in the polls, promising to end affirmative preferences to Maoris (Economist, 26 ii).}
POPULAR EUGENICS
A new book on eugenics amounted to nothing more than the standard propaganda of the modern left that eugenics = racism = euthanasia = Holocaust. But it did admit how popular eugenics was in the 1930's - not least with Scottish-American steel boss, billionaire and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie (a fact virtually never mentioned about him in biographies of the great man whose first big charitable act was the provision of a library in Dumfermline, where he had been born in 1835).
{Today, a bust of the great eugenicist -- whose generosity of 1904 made possible the eugenic research laboratories at Cold Spring Harbour in Long Island, New York-graces the stairway of Edinburgh Central Library. Perhaps it will one day meet the same fate at the hands of `anti-racists' as happened to the bust of lunchtime "rapist" Arthur Koestler at the hands of LUniversity of Edinburgh feminists in 1998 (see McDougall Newsletters, October et seq.)
FOOTBALLERS SLAM FEMINISTS
In the battle in Spain of accused Leicester City soccer player `rapists' against Black female `victims', the footballers went one up as a photo came to light of just how enthusiastic the Black girls (possibly hookers) had been for sex on the night that 3+ players ended up in a hotel bedroom with the girlies (Sun, 9 iii). Next (Sun, 10 iii) it turned out that all the three Black `victims' (of scratches, a broken bracelet and perhaps one rape) were all well known as prostitutes in Germany - one had run a brothel in Amsterdam, bringing in and exploiting young girls from her home country of Malawi. {Presumably the girls had enticed the footballers into thinking they were offering the normal free `roasting' that soccer heroes expect, and then outraged the lads by demanding money.}
MARRIAGE IS HERITABLE
Marriage and Personality: A Genetic Analysis, BY Wendy Johnson, Matt McGue, Robert F. Krueger, and Thomas J. Bouchard Jr. (University of Minnesota, Twin Cities), Journal of Personality and Social Psychology 86, 2, 285-294.
SUMMARY: There is substantial evidence that married people fare better than their unmarried peers on many life outcome variables. The authors asked whether self-selection might partially explain these benefits through genetic influences on personality contributing to propensity to marry. Using a population-based sample of 4,225 women and 2,869 men that included 2,527 complete twin pairs, the authors investigated the phenotypic associations between personality and propensity to marry, the heritability of propensity to marry, and the extent of genetic influence on the link between personality and propensity to marry. The results suggest that propensity to marry is heritable and that the phenotypic link between personality and propensity to marry is genetically influenced.

FEMILUNACY CONTD.
Indicating a good chance of feminism tearing itself apart over Naomi Wolf vs Yale professor Harold Bloom (see earlier here), Anne Summers backed femininnie whingeing about alpha males in the Sydney Morning Herald (1 iii). "If someone as celebrated and brave as Naomi Wolf can be pilloried for seeking justice, what hope do the rest of us have?", Summers moaned. Slate (1 iii) noted an ongoing unsisterly ding-dong between Meghan Rourke (who called Wolf's 'feminist' writing "weak-kneed, more titillating than critical" and said her complaint against Bloom's `encroachment' was "self-promoting" and "truly boneless") and Beverly Mann (who insisted Yale University was "still protecting the guilty"). But Yale Daily News stood by the university's sexual harassment policies (1 iii). Talking about her Day of Encroachment, Wolf told Sarah Baxter (Sunday Times, 29 ii `The gropes of wrath'; The Australian, (3 iii), "I was a very serious student. I take education very seriously. I'm Jewish, I'm the daughter of a professor. We're not animals or slaves to sexual appetites." But Baxter was little impressed and likened Wolf to the ruinous revolutionary Robespierre. In The Australian (3 iii), Elspeth Probyn noted that most commentators had laughed at at Wolf and threw in her two pennorth: "Many years ago, in The Washington Monthly, Stephanie Mencimer described Wolf as "a sillier Sylvia Plath -- self-obsessed and highly overwrought", a "broken-fingernail feminist" who takes her "minor bouts with injustice to epic proportions."

Harvard professor Samuel P. Huntington - best known as the scholarly scourge of Islamic extremism - warned in a new book that the U.S.A. was being inundated by Mexicans who would transform its culture by 2050. In Who We Are, Huntington wrote: "There is only the American dream created by Anglo-Protestant society. Mexican Americans will share that dream only if they dream in English."

As American Christian fundamentalists blazed away over gay marriage and Mel Gibson's violent film of Christ's pasion was thought likely to stir anti-Semitism, intellectual-homosexual Sunday Times columnist in Washington, Andrew Sullivan, declared "The war is upon us" and would be decided by the November presidential election. {Yet whereas het-up fundamentalists would surely vote Republican (Mr Bush having denounced homosexual marriage), keen anti-Semites would surely vote Democrat in 2004 circumstances; so a clear traditional right vs left fight looked unlikely.}
{So horrified was Sullivan that he rather overlooked such solutions to these ancient problems as having extended neofamilies (which might include some gay members) and inviting the Jewish community to make a clean break with PeeCee and perhaps pay for some of the damage it has caused (see McDougall NewsLetters, passim).

The crazy taxpayer-funded job creation programme for loony immigrants, the `Campaign for Racial Equality', headed by the hysterical Trevor Phillips (see previously), was denounced as "institutionally racist" by Tory Welsh Assemblyman David Davies who especially complained that the CRE never investigated cases of Black-on-Srindopakeshi and Pakistani-on-White racism (Scotsman, 26 ii).
INTEGRATION REALISM
Immigrants to Holland would in future need to fork out œ4,200 to take classes in language and culture; and they would be repeatedly fined every time they failed to pass the government's citizenship exam. The new proposals were to be put before Parliament by Dutch Immigration Minister, Rita Verdonk.

The ludicrous results of giving girls careers amidst front-line soldiers were exposed when the US Army revealed that no less than 112 accusations of rape and other sexual indiscretions had been lodged with Army authorities during the campaigns in Afghanistan and Iraq. According to one hysterical US senator, Susan Collins (Rep., Maine), US servicewomen sometimes had "more to fear from fellow soldiers than from the enemy" (Times, 27 ii).

Said the (normally globalizing) Economist of his work (26 ii): "A large ongoing survey of American communities seems to show, uncomfortably, that levels of trust and co-operation are highest in the most homogenous neighbourhoods. People living in diverse areas, it turns out, are not just more suspicious of people who don't look like them; they are also more suspicious of their own kind. Because of that, they suffer socially, economically and politically. .. Canadian researchers have shown that xenophile nations have seen the smallest increases in welfare spending over the past 30 years. If the pattern holds true, Britain will become less like Scandinavia and more like America, with its racial diversity and frayed social safety net."

LEFT ALIENATION REVEALED
Just how out of touch was the peecee left becoming? A straw in the wind was the condemnation by America's Southern Poverty Law Centre of the otherwise hugely acclaimed film `The Lord of the Rings' - not enough heroines, not enough Blacks and too much patriarchy, apparently. The SPLC preferred 'Matrix' with its mixed-race heroes and White villains. At least in this matter, the left did not have Hollywood's luvvies and wooftahs on its side. In Britain, too, the left began to get risky, with John Upton complaining of Home Secretary David Blunkett's authoritarianism-heading-towards-Nazism (23 ii).

In 2003, dramatically risen (via 'Lost in Translation' and ' Girl with a Pearl Earring'), high-maturity, magnetic and dishily-lipped Danish-American starlet Scarlett Johansson, 18, had been heard to remark that men "never really come good until they are in their thirties" (Sunday Telegraph, 22 ii 04). In February 2004, Bafta award-winning Scarlett talked most warmly of the far-older-men with whom she had acted (especially Colin Firth, 43); and the Sun (22 ii) revealed that her own lover was actor Patrick Wilson, 30. Scarlett further admitted that she once "had the hots" for Sean Connery, 70+.

A new book vilifying eugenics, War Against the Weak: Eugenics and America's Crusade to Create a Master Race, by Edwin Black, was sadly hailed in the Steve Jones-loving Sunday Telegraph by my personal hero Paul Johnson - a devout Catholic as well as right-libertarian writer. Still at least War Against the Weak didn't let modern geneticists off the hook {as they dearly wish and tirelessly try to arrange}: rather, geneticists were shown by Black to have strong descent lines linking them to eugenics and their utopian science had become (writes Johnson) "more powerful than ever, employing more people, attracting more funds, and marked by the same arrogance that distinguished its earlier incarnation . . . . and the absence of a moral philosophy which explores our right or duty to interfere with the natural processes of life."
{Even this welcome recognition is of course unfair to eugenicists like Richard Lynn and myself who base our approach firmly on IQ and its known heritability and social correlates. My own general philosophical position, at least, is that anything which lowers average intelligence in the world is a serious threat to industry, trade, commerce, health, beauty, sporting achievement [except at slow-paced sports like soccer and swimming], peace, freedom, justice and culture. And Richard Lynn has pointed to today's stress on individual rights at the expense of group rights. Hopefully that is a sufficient philosophy for Paul Johnson and Edwin Black!}

PAEDOHYSTERIA SLATED
In an amusing article in the Spectator (21 ii), Rod Liddle conjectured that the wave of obesity among children was chiefly due to lack of exercise - resulting chiefly from parental paedohysteria and schoolteachers being reluctant to take gym lessons and supervise children in the showers.
ANXIETIES ABOUT `WRETCHED OF THE EARTH' IMMIGRATION VOICED - SHOCKING THE LEFT
Talk of the need to restrict/control/manage immigration increased, with intellectuals such as Blairite Prospect magazine editor David Goodhart(full reprint in Guardian 24 ii, which admitted "a bitter debate among progressive thinkers") and the `Conservative' leader Michael Howard surfacing with pale imitations of what White Londoners had been saying for years - though Howard felt obliged simultaneously to denounce the British National Party as "a bunch of thugs" (in fact the BNP's Cambridge-educated leader's only conviction had been for speech crime under Britain's infamously oppressive Race Relations Act).
The new trend drew down the wrath of the Campaign for Racial Equality's Black boss, Trevor Phillips, who wailed in the Guardian (16 ii):"..the liberal Powellites are gaining support in high places. The new ideas are inspired by the work of the American sociologist Robert Putnam, a Downing Street favourite. Putnam purports to show that dynamic, diverse communities are more fragmented than stable, monoethnic ones." Labour MP Keith Vaz (formerly Minister for Europe) recorded his own wish to keep Britain's doors open to all and sundry (Independent, 22 ii); and one A. Sivanandan, `Director of the Institute of Race Relations' complained about Goodhart in an article published by the Guardian (26
ii).
For his pains, editor Goodhart was hauled on to BBC Radio 4's flagship `Today' programme to confront an Indian member of the House of Lords who, like Phillips, objected to `genteel racism' - though the diplomatic Indian settled for saying merely that solidarity was not incompatible with mass immigration since people liked nothing better than welcoming diverse immigrants and seeing them become welfare-dependent. The Independent (22 ii) said Cabinet nerves were "on edge" over immigration as the left began to argue about Goodhart; and the Guardian (18 ii) promisingly indicated that its correspondents were divided roughly 2-1 against Goodhart. Meantime the Sun (24 ii), the Daily Mail (25 ii), the Daily Express (25 ii) and the Daily Telegraph (24 ii) continued to confront feeble government changes in immigration policy which it said would do next to nothing to prevent a wave of gypsy immigration from Eastern Europe in May.
{The strange thing about immigration junkies is that they never identify any countries to which Brits can flee and find a refuge from socialism in free and sensible education for children, health care provided by English speakers, and non-bankrupting provision for old age. Equally, a strange thing about anti-immigration writers is their failure to realize that no amount of tinkering - withdrawing some or even all welfare benefits - is likely to stop people from all round the world heading for the one really nice and successful country having a boomtown economy. Dear Editors,
I was amused to see your reporter Sam Friedman trying to mislead us into believing that the University of Edinburgh is on some kind of a roll, using ancient figures of Edinburgh Nobelists (Student, 11 ii 04, 'Edinburgh top of the world'). The fact is that Edinburgh University enjoyed a period of greatness in the twentieth century -- making up for its earlier discriminatory failures to employ Scotland's best philosopher, David Hume, and the discoverer of electromagnetism, James Clerk Maxwell (after which pair of geniuses the University scandalously names two of its ghastly buildings). Today, however, our sad University has for several years not managed to get into the U.K.'s top ten. In June, 2003, The University of Edinburgh sank to a new low in overall U.K. university ratings, just 18th=, along with Southampton University, in a meta-analytic `Table of Tables' compiled by the Daily Telegraph (25 vi, p.17). This Table of Tables combined rankings from surveys conducted for the Daily Telegraph, the Financial Times, the Times, and the Sunday Times and further threw in rankings from a survey of employers of graduates.
Far from being 'top of the world', Edinburgh University is the only major U.K. university to have been sinking rapidly over the past decade -- despite its students having entry credentials comparable to those which obtain in St Andrews (which has overtaken it as Scotland's top uni). When will Edinburgh students wake up to what has been happening? -- The process was begun by the postmodern multicultural theologian, Principal Stewart Sutherland, who did not believe in race or IQ or any other kind of inconvenient truth; and it is now being set in concrete by a diminutive new Irish Principal, possessed of a cockney accent, whose bombastic talents and simplistic egalitarian beliefs are more suited to his being the head of a primary school than to running a university that could ever compete with Harvard, Yale, Oxford or Cambridge.

HOLLAND FED UP WITH UNINTEGRATED IMMIGRANTS
Showing the spirit of national liberal Pim Fortuyn to be alive and well, Holland announced it would expel 26,000 failed asylum, stop Dutch citizens under 24 from bringing in spouses from abroad, introduce a compulsory ID card for over 12 and allow welfare benefits only to immigrants who learned Dutch. Rotterdam (by 2000 a half non-White city) announced it would accept no more poor or unemployed immigrants for five years. Said council leader Ronald Sorensen, "Before, people just turned a blind eye; but not any more. It is the death of political correctness." According to the Times (14 ii), even left-wing politicians were coming to accept `the new politics', which included crackdowns on public nuisances and the immediate closure of cannabis caf‚s if hard drugs were found on the premises. The Dutch moves followed an all-party parliamentary report which concluded that Holland's attempt to create an integrated multi-ethnic society had "failed."
FAST TRACK LEARNING - MY SCHEME TO BE ADOPTED AT LAST!
After widely publicized allegations that A-Level exams were too easy, universities said they might undertake their own testing and Education Minister Charles Clarke said he would think of providing four `tiers' of education for 14-19 year-olds of differing abilities - allowing them to exit with `entry', `foundation', `intermediate' or `advanced' diplomas, apparently allowing a choice between `academic' and `vocational' paths. He further said "talented" children would be encouraged to join classes of older students, and students who were struggling would be allowed to give themselves more time by joining younger classes (Times, 18 ii). LUNIVERSITY OF EDINBURGH GIVES UP GOD
In a new excess of PeeCee and amidst howls of protest from the Church of Scotland and even from Jewish and Muslim groups, Edinburgh University announced it would ban Christian prayers at its graduation ceremonies.
OZ RACE FLARE-UP
Some 150 aborigines from the Sydney ghetto of Redfern (famous for drug dealing) showed their attitude to multicultural Australia by injuring fifty policemen (hospitalizing many) and torching cars and a train station in a nine-hour battle (in which rioters threw bricks and Molotov cocktails) after a 17-year-old Aborigine had fallen and impaled himself through his neck on a metal fence and died at the culmination of what may have been a police chase (though police denied he was being chased). Redfern aboriginal elder Lyle Munro told the crowd gathered at the scene of the riot they should be proud that Redfern's young people had "stood up to police." But Labour Party Opposition leader Mark Latham denounced aborigine parents who had allowed children under ten to join in the rioting.
As a police sweep for suspects began, both an aunt and a girlfriend of the dead teenager were arrested and charged. Australia's loopy left expressed fury at politicians talking of `individual responsibility' for the rioting rather than blaming capitalism, conservatism, British imperialism and racism.

Joining psychologist John Ray's effort, Londoner/countryman Graham Asher began supplying anti-peecee mat‚riel, starting with a splendid story that the New Zealand Government had banned the saying of (Christian) grace at its dinners but was spending money like water flying aboriginal `leaders' around the world to debug its embassies of `evil spirits' which upset Maoris.

The lady's IQ turned out to be 113, and - luckily for the London School (esp. Phil Rushton) scientists in Cleveland, Ohio discovered that her brain weight was roughly normal.

The Sun newspaper (9 ii) revealed that, thanks to Labour's failure to legislate properly against terror conspirators and troughmen lawyers, mad obese hook-fisted West-hating Muslim preacherman Abu Hamza was scheduled to cost Britain millions of pounds over seven years as smart-alec human rights lawyers would work to prevent his deportation. Hamza's family was receiving œ1,030.65 a week benefit. It also cost U.K. taxpayers œ250,000 a year to police his preaching, œ500,000 for MI5 surveillance and œ250,000 annually in legal fees in the effort to kick him out.

New research in Scotland found a big boost for reading in children taught by `synthetic phonics' - a scheme similar to my own that was made available to McDNL readers in the issue for 9 June, 1998. Using marked plastic letters with magnets on the back, children are encouraged to selected the right marked letter to represent a particular sound (e.g. distinguishing between the `long' and the `short' forms of the letter A) and then go on to make up words from the phonemes (Sunday Times, 8 ii; Times 9 ii). Other research from England reported that teenage boys do better at English if they are taught in single-sex classes (www.nfer.ac.uk).

Proctor (a historian at Penn State University) called it "disturbing", "bombastic" and "overstated" and blamed it for using the work of "raciologists" Arthur Jensen and Philippe Rushton.
But getting real about race was beginning to appeal to Blacks themselves, said Black columnist Tony Sewell in the Sunday Times (8 ii). Apparently British Blacks were becoming impressed by the escalating rate of gun crime among their number - and since British Blacks shoot mainly other Blacks the phenomenon could scarcely be blamed on Whites. British Blacks were also noting the yawning class difference within the Black community - showing that Blacks could get ahead if they behaved themselves. In the USA, wrote Sewell, Berkeley linguistics professor John McWhorter had felt bold enough to blame Black failures on a "wariness of books and learning [which is frankly] ingrained" - though of course he dared not mention that anti-academic attitudes spring chiefly from low IQ in Blacks as in Whites. Likewise, the new book by liberal-left eminences Abigail Thernstrom (Manhattan Institute) and Stephan Thernstrom (Harvard), No Excuses: Closing the Racial Gap in Learning, dismisses most conventional environmental explanations for Black educational failure, blames Black culture and urges a return to giving Black children traditional discipline in schools (including school uniforms, Saturday classes, detentions and expulsions).

Charles Murray's massive book, Human Accomplishment: The Pursuit of Excellence in the Arts and Sciences, 800 B.C. to 1950 (HarperCollins, $29.95) was given a seal of approval by one of Britain's top historians, the biographer, author of Hitler and Churchill and TV-presenter-to-be Andrew Roberts (Times Literary Supplement, 6 ii 04). Most of Murray's selected geniuses were `dead White European males', coming in particular from the hexagonal region bordered by Naples, Marseilles, Dorset, Glasgow, the northern tip of Denmark and Wroclaw. Roberts (who simmered up at Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge - where I gave the lecture `Ten Arguments for Race Realism' in 1997) specially noted that "the African contribution to human progress since 800B.C. - despite its vast population - has been almost minimal" and said that Murray's work would long provide "a central thesis" for students of man's intellectual history. Further approving Murray's elitism, Roberts added that today, 30% of Nobel prizewinners are Jewish though Jews are only 0.5% of the world population.

SUNDAY DEFENDED
Following an amusing article by Matthew Parris in the Spectator complaining about confusion over whether a week begins with Monday or Sunday (i.e. about whether Sunday is a ‘sabbath’ as instituted in the Old Testament), I wrote to the Speccie as follows:

Oscar-nominated Welsh actor John Rhys-Davies, who played a warrior dwarf in ‘Lord of the Rings,’ spoke out against the growing Islamicization of the West – eliciting a finger-wagging from the peecee-left Observer (1 ii) and the Muslim Council of Britain when they found his remarks to American journalists had been taken up with enthusiasm by the British National Party.
BONK-READY BABE BAGGER BONGO
A spirited attempt at babe-bagging was made by Gabon’s President, Omar Bongo, 60, when he persuaded luscious long-faced lovely Miss Peru, Ivette Santa Maria, 22, to cross the Atlantic to participate in a Miss Humanity Pageant he claimed to be organizing. Ready as any supermodel to appear obliging to the Black race, Ivette was soon on a plane to Gabon where she found herself whisked to the presidential palace to meet Mr Big in an oak-panelled room. Yet no sooner did the President arrive than the panelling slid aside to reveal a king size bed all ready for action. Guards made no attempt to detain Ivette when she fled in panic, but it took her two weeks to scrape together enough cash to pay for a flight back to Lima. Gabon’s president became well known in 1992-3 when a French couturier revealed that he organized regular flights for French prostitutes to meet the ever-bonk-ready Bongo.

Pace Matthew Parris (Spectator, 31 January), Christianity did not "yield" to anyone in selecting its holy day -- simply, the day of the week on which Jesus supposedly rose from the dead. The reason Emperor Constantine liked the Christians (apart from seeing their valour under torture) was that he thought their choice of Sunday as their holy day meant that they, like him, worshipped the sun god, Sol Invictus. Constantine further believed Christians would recognize him as God's major representative on earth -- which they soon did, letting him shape their creed and encouraging him to raid pagan temples for the wherewithal to build his magnificent capital of Constantinople. Constantine did for Christianity what Messrs Clinton and Blair did for feminism: he took a disorganized religion and turned it into a political power base. After years of vicious persecution, the Christians seized their opportunity; but they yielded to no-one.

ABUSOHYSTERIA HITS THE BUFFERS
Britain's feminastish experts in child abuse suffered a blow as the attorney general, Lord Goldman, opened inquiries into thousands of cases in which parents had been convicted of murdering their infants. Evidently fear of being insufficiently abusohysterical had led courts and juries to accept astonishingly low standards of evidence in cases of alleged infanticide - the uncorroborated evidence of just one `medical expert' (often a Prof. Sir Roy Meadow) was enough to secure a conviction. Often no attention had been paid to what conceivable motive mothers might have had for killing their own child, for the experts (esp. Prof. Meadow) suggested that the `murderer' "suffered Munchausen's Syndrome by Proxy", i.e. wanted all the attention she would receive if her child suddenly died.
In the Sunday Telegraph (25 i), columnist Dr James Le Fanu found Lord Goldman's news "exhilarating" and expressed the hope that some of the daft `experts' (esp. Prof. Meadow) would themselves be charged with wasting police and court time and even given "mandatory life sentences" for their self-chosen mission.
BLACK-RUN ZIMBABWE'S INHUMANITY GOES OFF THE SCALES
In a fine tribute at once to the importance of IQ and of keeping Blacks away from political power, the Sunday Telegraph (25 i) announced that life expectancy in Zimbabwe after two decades of ape-man rule had dropped to 36, that there was mass starvation and that the only drug available in most hospitals was aspirin. Lynn & Vanhanen' s book IQ and the Wealth of Nations estimated Zimbabwe's IQ at 66. Black President Robert Mugabe was denounced as "evil" by the Black Archbishop Ncuba of Bulawayo.
RACIST KILROY-SILK?
As London's Metropolitan Police took time off from catching Black muggers to ponder whether Robert Kilroy-Silk had been guilty of `racism' when accusing modern Arab countries of contributing little to civilization, Private Eye came up with some splendid race realism in K-S's 2003 articles for the Sunday Express:

Britain's feminastish experts in child abuse suffered a blow as the attorney general, Lord Goldman, opened inquiries into thousands of cases in which parents had been convicted of murdering their infants. Evidently fear of being insufficiently abusohysterical had led courts and juries to accept astonishingly low standards of evidence in cases of alleged infanticide - the uncorroborated evidence of just one `medical expert' (often a Prof. Sir Roy Meadow) was enough to secure a conviction. Often no attention had been paid to what conceivable motive mothers might have had for killing their own child, for the experts (esp. Prof. Meadow) suggested that the `murderer' "suffered Munchausen's Syndrome by Proxy", i.e. wanted all the attention she would receive if her child suddenly died.
In the Sunday Telegraph (25 i), columnist Dr James Le Fanu found Lord Goldman's news "exhilarating" and expressed the hope that some of the daft `experts' (esp. Prof. Meadow) would themselves be charged with wasting police and court time and even given "mandatory life sentences" for their self-chosen mission.
BLACK-RUN ZIMBABWE'S INHUMANITY GOES OFF THE SCALES
In a fine tribute at once to the importance of IQ and of keeping Blacks away from political power, the Sunday Telegraph (25 i) announced that life expectancy in Zimbabwe after two decades of ape-man rule had dropped to 36, that there was mass starvation and that the only drug available in most hospitals was aspirin. Lynn & Vanhanen' s book IQ and the Wealth of Nations estimated Zimbabwe's IQ at 66. Black President Robert Mugabe was denounced as "evil" by the Black Archbishop Ncuba of Bulawayo.

As London's Metropolitan Police took time off from catching Black muggers to ponder whether Robert Kilroy-Silk had been guilty of `racism' when accusing modern Arab countries of contributing little to civilization, Private Eye came up with some splendid race realism in K-S's 2003 articles for the Sunday Express:

EARTH MOVES FOR GUARDIAN READERS
Against a background of knife-edge parliamentary debate, Guardian readers were re-introduced to the idea that IQ tests might be a help in selection for university.

The News of the World (25 i) discovered with what ease Black and Muslim young males could make it into Britain: in the east end of London alone, the paper found six 'colleges' that offered nothing by way of education and existed solely to provide a fake identity as a 'student' to impress the UK Home Office.
EUGENIC INFANTICIDE SUPPORTED
One of Britain's top bioethicists endorsed infanticide in the case of infants born with previously unsuspected genetic problems or brain damage (Sunday Telegraph, 25 i; Scotland on Sunday, 25 i; Sunday Times, 25 i; Times, 25 i), BBC 26 i; Manchester Evening News, 26 i). In a debate organized by the House of Commons, handsome young Professor John Harris, a member of the British Medical Association's Ethics Committee, said there was no detectable ethical difference between abortion and infanticide undertaken for serious conditions, and added that there should be more openness about the fact that such infanticide was "a very widespread and accepted pratce in most countries."
The Manchester Uni philosopher's remarks infuriated pretty young 'pro-life' campaigner, the Reverend Joanna Jepson, curate of St Michael's Church in Chester, best known for her determination to outlaw abortions for cleft palate (with which condition she herself had been born). Julia Millington, the political director of the ProLife Party, said: "It is frightening to hear anyone endorsing infanticide, but it is shocking when that person is responsible for teaching others."
Professor Harris, Oxford-educated and a founder of the International Association of Bioethics, had fifteen books to his credit on the ethics of genetics. The Jewish-looking professor had in the past supported the ideas of people being allowed to sell their organs for transplant operations and being allowed to select the sex of their babies. A spokeswoman for the British Medical Association tried to dissociate from Professor Harris, saying: "These views of Prof. Harris are personal views and do not reflect the views of the Ethics Committee or the BMA, which is utterly opposed to the idea of infanticide." And Harris was promptly criticized by columnist Melanie Phillips (25 i) assorted bloggers and the right-wing Christian WorldNetDaily (27 i), and was noted by OpinionEditorials.com (27 i) to have revealed that abortions are often eugenic in intent.
Harris had been criticized previously in the San Francisco Chronicle (9 vi 2002) for attending to questions of human quality. But hardcore socialist groups were expected to resist the enforced pregnancies on which 'pro-lifers' were determined, and thus to support a compassionate attitude about infanticide (at least when carried out by mothers) that had developed in 20th-century Britain.(Nothing was expected of liberals who had altogether lost their way in the shoals of PeeCee.)

I wrote to the Manchester Evening News as follows:
Parents are expected to make decisions which a child cannot make for itself. Since our laws allow such choices as suicide and abortion, it is logical to allow parents to choose the suicide (by infanticide) of a child - assuming that the child faces a very low quality of life and that adoption is impossible. Thus I support the brave Professor John Harris.
I just hope that 'pro-lifers' who clamour to enforce pregnancies and parenting on unwilling parents are themselves generous in offering adoption and fostering. In the past, perhaps some two per cent of babies born in Europe were disposed of by their parents -- as can be read in Sarah Blaffer Hrdy's 1999 book, 'Mother Nature.' Myself, I imagine most severely handicapped people would rather have died (and have their healthy genes passed on by new brothers and sisters) than grow up unwanted or with a mother who had been plunged into depression at their birth.

POLITICIANS ASKED TO SHOW IQs
A college student in Portland, Oregon, announced he was making it his project to ask all Presidential contenders for proof of their levels of intelligence. Christopher Nicholson had set up a charity-status group, People for Intelligent Politicians, and aimed to advertise on TV for further support in his enterprise.
{Nicholson had perhaps been reading the latest American meta-analysis of 127 studies on the importance of IQ in predicting life success, or the latest British follow-up of 11,000 children which found IQ far more important to educational success than was parental social class - results anticipated in THE g FACTOR, 1996/2000, in Commentary, 1998, and in my 'Quotations about the importance of intelligence'. The meta-analysis, published in the prestigious Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, was noted in the Times by senior Health Editor Nigel Hawkes (12 i) but did not apparently achieve any follow-on coverage.}
KILROY TO CARRY ON POLEMICIZING
Given strong support from the Sunday Express (which devoted some six pages to him), Robert Kilroy Silk vowed to carry on outspeaking - at least so long as he could secure the jobs of his 65 TV company workers, some of whom had been with him for fifteen years. He had been much impressed by the high level of support for him when London motorists honked their horns and flashed their lights, and when he learned that 93% of callers to Sky TV had backed him. He told the Express, "I have saved the jobs of my colleagues and I am now free to say what I like, whenever I like, without any inhibition. And believe you me, I will." However, other Sunday newspapers largely ignored the affair; he didn't seize his opportunity to say anything more about Arabs, Blacks or immigration, or to indicate progress in negotiation for future takers; and the Express's own TV Correspondent, though given a page in the paper, declined to dish much dirt on the overpaid BBC peecee witches who had axed K-S as a presenter.
{One of the witches - all of them recent appointees -- was the bombastic and unmarried dwarfette who had announced her mission as one of 'inclusivity' for Britain's minorities and replaced BBC 1's 40-year-running red globe motif-logo with scenes of handicapped wheelchair racing and Black aerobics_.}

Paranormal expert Uri Geller strongly defended his friend Michael Jackson against allegations of child abuse (New York Post, 18 i). Paranormal expert Uri Geller strongly defended his friend Michael Jackson against allegations of child abuse (New York Post, 18 i). Apparently he had persuaded Jackson to agree to be hypnotized and then asked Jackson about the allegations against him. From Geller's long expertise in hypnotism, he felt entirely sure that Jackson had told him the truth when saying, under hypnosis, that his relationships with boys were merely "beautiful" and involved no sexual touching at all.

MORE ON KILROY-SILK
The censorious ways of 'multicultural' Britain were splendidly indicted by Bush-backing columnist Mark Steyn (Telegraph, 13 i).
The Muslim 'Media Monitors Network' website added that broadcaster Nick Ferrari, Sun columnist and anti-PeeCee crusader Richard Littlejohn and top Ozzie litterateur Clive James were also supporting Kilroy-Silk.
In 2003, the British media watchdog, the Broadcasting Standards Commission, noted that the British media were unduly "self-censorious" about criticizing Islam while allowing themselves to jest obscenely about Christianity - e.g. envisaging that Jesus and Judas were sodomites (Telegraph, 29 xii).}

Thus the front page of the Daily Express (13 I*). Smelling blood at the BBC, the paper threw its weight behind its "crusade" to reinstate presenter Robert Kilroy-Silk. In particular it named and shamed the three women bosses who axed 'Kilroy' -- one of them, the head of BBC 1, on an annual salary of œ434,000 and further getting the BBC to employ her own husband; it carried an interview with with K-S in which he lambasted the "PC Police", defined PC simply as "Censorship" and ripped into 'self-styled tsar' CRE boss Trevor Phillips; it had an article by top publicist Max Clifford blasting the Beeb ('Why Auntie has let us all down') and saying it had created "a public relations shambles"; the Express claimed overwhelming public support for K-S, e.g. among the 50,000 of its readers who had phoned in; it claimed the new Conservative leader Michael Howard had joined its campaign, saying "Our tradition of free speech is precious and we shouldn't lose sight of that"; and it gave the terms of a Commons motion tabled by MP Andrew Rosindell -
The paper also carried several nice picturs of a smartly besuited and smiling K-S, and remarks from readers_e.g. that he was sensitive and a "real gent." Its leading article declared -
Several letters to the paper were also supportive, e.g. asking why Kilroy-Silk had been "vilified for telling the truth." Elsewhere, in the Daily Telegraph (13 i) one letter said it was quite in order to generalize about the vile Arab ways - just as it would once have been OK to complain of 'the South Africans' system of apartheid'; and another letter wondered why the Muslim community was up in arms when K-S's criticism had said nothing about Islam - only about Arab countries. In the Daily Mail, columnist Stephen Glover headed an article 'Let Kilroy speak his mind, even if it's full of nonsense.'
Andrew Dismore, the Labour MP, said he found it hard to understand why the BBC had moved against Mr Kilroy-Silk but had not taken any action against the 'anti-Zionist' academic and broadcaster, Tom Paulin. Tory MP Roger Gale, a former BBC producer, wrote to his old bosses to complain about their political correctness (Scotsman, 14 i).
However, Robert Marshall-Andrews, the Labour MP, said of K-S's piece: ''I think it is the most loathsome and illiterate article I have ever read in a British newspaper. The only conceivable purpose is to create ignorance and prejudice. I, and people in my section of the Labour Party, hope that Tony Blair will realise that we must not accept any more support from Richard Desmond, the proprietor of the Express. It may well be bordering on criminality.''
And Muslim leaders persisted in denouncing K-S's remarks as "indisputably racist" and part of a history going back to 1995 when K-S wrote "Muslims everywhere behave with equal savagery" (Daily Mirror, 14 i). The first leader in the Telegraph (14 i)complained of the 'decadence' of London police in investigating Kilroy-Silk's 'racism' when they could have been arresting burglars or stopping Muslim fanatics shouting 'Infidel!' at Londoners.
Education minister, David Milliband, called the BBC's decision to suspend the 'Kilroy' show "absurd". "I don't believe Kilroy-Silk is a racist. I think the decision by the BBC to take him off the air is absurd," he told BBC1's Question Time. But the BBC's high-earning top witches Jana Bennett (director of television) Lorraine Heggessey (controller of BBC1) and Alison Sharman (head of daytime programmes) stuck to their line that the price of free speech on the BBC's airwaves was 'responsibility', 'sensitivity', self-censorship and -- for good measure - instant censorship by them. They had clearly forgotten the words of Lord Chief Justic Lord Hailsham in 1965:

But in the K-S case, where my views accord with those of the vast majority of correspondents, it seemed worth a try (and I sent a similar letter to the Guardian). The BBC had asked what people thought of Kilroy-Silk's "controversial views."
Comments at the BBC's website ran roughly 50% in K-S's favour, and were 75% favourable on the particular issue of whether he was entitled to free speech. Cathy Lloyd of London wrote: "The BBC have lost something more than a TV host, they have lost their integrity and imagination." According to the Guardian (17 i), there was a prospect that Channel 5 TV would hire Kilroy-Silk to run their morning chat show (with which they are were known to have been unhappy). The Persian Journal (17 I) appeared to take K-S's side with an item titled "When Arabs don't like the truth, let's lie to them" - apparently the journal did not know that, at the time of writing his Express piece, K-S had believed Iran to be an Arab country_.
Scotland Yard said it was still investigating the suggestion of the Campaign for Racial Equality that K-S might been guilty of incitement to racial hatred. K-S said: "I have been overwhelmed by the support from the general public, and I continue to believe that it is my right to express my views, however uncomfortable they may be. "However, I recognise the difficulties this has caused the BBC, and I believe my decision is the right way to resolve the situation."

About four or five years ago a wise old judge, Lord Justice Sedley, acquitted a woman street preacher, on appeal, at the London High Court, after she'd been convicted of breaching the peace outside Wakefield Cathedral where a hostile crowd threatened her. Mr Kilroy-Silk's views are NOT "controversial." Some 93% of those phoning to the Express and BBC have agreed with him. To have bribed him to drop out as a TV presenter must put fear into smaller-fry personnel at the BBC. They will not now dare to criticize 'the West', 'the USA' or even that convenient shorthand, 'the Americans' -- unless assured that the BBC's secret agenda does not involve castigating anti-White 'racism.' The BBC has grossly dishonoured itself as a champion of the free and fair interchange of ideas. Let's hope Kilroy-Silk's settlement with the Beeb will not long gag him from speaking out elsewhere!

PEECEE CHALLENGED
As top UK talk show host Robert Kilroy-Silk prepared to be 'investigated' by the BBC bosses who had axed 'Kilroy' for 'racism', he did not mince his words for the press, calling his BBC censors "wimps" and their conduct "disappointing" and talking of "thousands of good, honest, decent people who seem to be cowed down by the bullying ethos of political correctness." The UK's top-selling tabloid, the Sun (12 i, Political Editor Trevor Kavanagh) came out in K-S's favour, concluding: "_.the shock is not that he spoke out so forcefully. It is that in a civilised nation like Britain he risks being sacked by the standard bearer of free speech for doing so."
Fellow TV presenter Richard Madeley said Kilroy-Silk had not said anything offensive and called for his show to be put back on air (Scotsman, 12 i). Speaking to BBC News 24, the 'Richard and Judy' front-man said: "The only explanation I can come up with is that someone at the Beeb wants him out. The treatment of Kilroy by the BBC is nothing short of disgraceful."
In the Telegraph, it was observed that the Commission for Racial Equality had made no move to censor the widely available book Sayings of Mohammed (hadis) in which non-Muslims are described as unclean and uncivilized (12 i, correspondent Randhir Singh Bains); and another correspondent drew attention to the CRE's failure to denounce Aesop's Fable 152, which includes the line "Their [Arab] tongues know not the truth" (12 i, Stephen Crane).
Even the Guardian (12 i) accepted a letter from homosexualist Peter Tatchell pointing out that the BBC repeatedly broadcast songs from Black reggae stars advocating violence to gays and women.
{The chief peculiarity among all such excellent banter was Kilroy-Silk's own refusal to agree that some of his remarks had been racist or at least race-realist - even for him, evidently, to accept being labelled with the 'r_' word was a bridge too far.}
{A cogent reply to Kilroy-Silk by Muslims was attempted at Media Monitors Network; but it quickly degenerated into accusing the West of all the main twentieth-century evils - forgetting the Turkish jihad that got rid of 5 million non-Muslims from 1893 to 1923, peaking with the expulsion or death (sometimes by gas chamber) of 2 million Christian Armenians in 1915, and forgetting the continuing internecine and nearly nuclear feuding between Muslims on the one hand and Jews, Hindus and Buddhists on the other.}
{Interviewed by Black Sir Kenneth McDonald on ITV, K-S toned down to appear a nice guy who had only wanted to draw attention to the failings of Arab regimes. The UK's top-selling tabloid, the Sun (12 i, Political Editor Trevor Kavanagh) came out in K-S's favour, concluding: "_.the shock is not that he spoke out so forcefully. It is that in a civilised nation like Britain he risks being sacked by the standard bearer of free speech for doing so."
Fellow TV presenter Richard Madeley said Kilroy-Silk had not said anything offensive and called for his show to be put back on air (Scotsman, 12 i). Speaking to BBC News 24, the 'Richard and Judy' front-man said: "The only explanation I can come up with is that someone at the Beeb wants him out. The treatment of Kilroy by the BBC is nothing short of disgraceful."
In the Telegraph, it was observed that the Commission for Racial Equality had made no move to censor the widely available book Sayings of Mohammed (hadis) in which non-Muslims are described as unclean and uncivilized (12 i, correspondent Randhir Singh Bains); and another correspondent drew attention to the CRE's failure to denounce Aesop's Fable 152, which includes the line "Their [Arab] tongues know not the truth" (12 i, Stephen Crane).
Even the Guardian (12 i) accepted a letter from homosexualist Peter Tatchell pointing out that the BBC repeatedly broadcast songs from Black reggae stars advocating violence to gays and women.

After two weeks of suppression by the Western media, Vienna Medical School's Martin Voracek's rehearsal of the national IQ levels given in IQ and the Wealth of Nations reached China Daily ('Study shows Asians top rank in terms of intelligence', 5 i) and New Zealand's Stuff ('Kiwis have thought it for years - but now scientists have proven we are smarter than Australians', 4 i). Lynn & Vanhanen's original result (that IQ accounts for 57% of per caput variation in GDP) achieved substantial coverage in Malaysia's New Straits Times (5 i) - which condemned the result as "laughable" "scientific racism" and appealed to Britain's Marxoid Professor Steven Rose to denounce IQ testing as culture-unfair. Of course, it was still encouraging that a researcher at a prestigious university should have been prepared to accept L&V's data, apparently without significant reservation.
HOMEOWNERS BACKED versus BURGLARS IN BBC POLL
26,000 votes were cast in a BBC Radio 4 competition to find the most popular suggestion for new parliamentary legislation. To the BBC's horror, the winning proposal was to allow homeowners to defend their property against housebreakers by any means they chose. Altogether 37% of those voting backed the idea, which will in due course be presented to the House of Commons by the embarrassed Labour MP, Stephen Pound.

Four Black British football stars were told by police they would not be charged with raping a 17-year-old fan whom they had admitted to "roasting" (cf. gang-banging) in a London hotel in December 2003 (Sun, 8 i 04). The girl (the product of a Jamaican mother and a convent education, out drinking with a 30-year old man when she met the stars in the small hours at London's 'Funky Buddha Club') had originally claimed that eight footballers had raped or otherwise had their way with her, but scaled down her claims in the interests of realism. However, police were unimpressed; so a full-scale outbreak of argumentation between the Black and feminastie 'communities' seemed likely.

'ANTI-RACIST' HYSTERIA AT BBC
The BBC cancelled its top morning TV chat show (1.2 million viewers daily since 1986) when an article by the show's silver-haired, dashing and smooth-talking host, former Labour MP Robert Kilroy-Silk, 61, appeared in the tabloid Sunday Express. The article claimed that Arabs had produced "no civilization" and were chiefly known for their "suicide bombers, limb-amputators and women-repressors." In fact (e.g. Guardian 10 i), the offending article had originally been published by Kilroy-Silk in April 2003 and elicited only two letters of complaint to the newspaper - hardly surprising since its criticisms had at that time been made not of 'Arabs' but of 'Arab states.'
(The Arabs themselves clearly contributed to civilization, especially before their uptake of Mohammedanism; but Arab states are clearly known for little but their authoritarianism, backwardness, rapacity and the scores of London prostitutes maintained by their princes.) The January 2004 version of K-S's article involved re-editing and re-titling (as 'We owe Arabs nothing' instead of 'Are we loathsome? Shame on them!') at the pornographer-owned Sunday Express and had nothing to do with Robert Kilroy-Silk himself, who said he "very deeply regretted" its republication out of its original context (where opponents of the Iraq War had claimed Arab states "loathed" the West). Supporters of Kilroy-Silk - he facing breach of his BBC contract, possible criminal charges and denunciation by Muslim leaders for an insufficiently grovelling apology -- could phone a vote to the Sunday Express at 0901 565 5008. Kilroy-Silk promised to defend himself in further issues of the Sunday Express, which itself reported that its readers were giving him clear backing.
The Black Chairman of the UK's Government-funded Campaign for Racial Equality described the article as "indisputably stupid" and said he expected Kilroy-Silk to be prosecuted for inciting race hatred - if not, Britain's race legislation would need further tightening.
(Born Anglo-Irish to an Irish mother and a Royal Navy stoker in Birmingham, Robert Kilroy-Silk previously apologized in 1992 for describing the Holy Republic of Eireland as "peopled by peasants, priests and pixies."
